My wife felt very threatened by the behavior of the senior owner of Lakeside KOA. Unaccompanied women might avoid entering the campground office if the senior owner is present.

We understand that anyone can have a bad day. All we asked for was a simple apology. The response: "That's never going to happen."

We filed an incident report with Corporate KOA office. Their Vice President recommended that we should have called the local police if threatened.

We filed a formal complaint against the "Ft Collins Lakeside CG, LLC" with the Northern Colorado and Wyoming Better Business Bureau (BBB). Lakeside KOA failed to negotiate in good faith.

We made sure we responded to the KOA email request for our review, which KOA uses for their President's and Founder's awards to individual KOA franchises. Lakeside KOA has blocked posting of their campers' reviews on their corporate KOA web site.

    Good RV Resort.
The staff of the Lakeside KOA are very courteous outgoing and always treated me with kindness.
The park is beautiful and the grounds are well kept with plenty of amenities and activities.
The price is a little high for the monthly spots with a matching deposit that you will get back if you follow the requirements.
All in all, it's worth the stay.

Our tent site was right next to a large pond. There was a sandy loamy surface to stake down our tent so getting the anchors in and out of the ground was very easy. The gal that checked us in was a little standoffish but maybe she was having one of those days. The showers were nicely appointed single private bathrooms like you find in a home. Custom tile and wallpaper. Will stay here again at some point in the future.

So far love it. Friendly, attentive, and even a little fenced dog park! Can't tell ya how nice that is.
Also quiet, clean, and relaxing. Plenty of walking and sitting spots. Around the water is an especially nice spot.
Certainly come back. Would give 5 stars but we have only been here a short while. And it's off season.

Nice park with lots of recreational activities, pool, mini golf, bounce house and slides, paddle boats, etc. Office has nicely stocked store. Bathrooms are very nice. It also has a fishing pond and paddle boats. Some spaces have hot tubs, which, of course, cost more. It's a great park for families but not so much for adults who want peace and quiet. Some of the staff is rather militant and rude. Too far from everything else. Worst part is that they charge $10 pp per day for any friends that come to visit you while you're in the park! They don't even have a discount if your friends show up after 5:00pm or if they have no intention of using the facilities! We won't be staying here again but that's just our preference.

This is the best koa and just campground in general we have stayed. It's beautiful and there's so much to do. A lake with paddle boats, trails, playgrounds, pool and great scenery. The sites for the rvs have large yards as well for enjoying the weather. The staff has been amazing as well! Dog friendly with dog run!

This is definitely a kid themed KOA. It offers a great playground, water activities, peddle cars, and a fishing pond. Not exactly my thing so it was way over priced for what I was wanting which was a place to stay while visiting friends and family. It is big rig friendly with roads that were easy to maneuver. My pad was concrete that was level front to back and side to side. The water and electric are in the center of the pad; however, the sewer is at the very back of the pad and elevated about 4" off the ground. Water pressure was great at 40 to 45 psi and no electric issues. Sewer was slow to drain due to elevation. Cable was strong with good range of channels. Wifi was weak to non-existent. The concrete pads are narrow and you step off in mud or dirt. They say no mats on the grass, so mine wasn't on the grass but the mud at the end of my steps. They do have sprinklers go off over night to water the grass. There was very nice grass around the picnic table and grill. The sites are arranged to where your picnic table is not next to your neighbors sewer hose. They have a very nice fenced dog walk. The staff is extremely friendly. They led us to our site and guided us in for the best placement. They also pick up your garbage in the morning. The park is extremely clean and well maintained. Weakness include the awkward sewer connection placement, over priced for what you get compared to other KOAs, narrow concrete pads, and the sprinklers make any mud on your site that much more muddy. Great for a family with kids, overpriced for those of us just visiting family. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Entrance staff were as nice as could be. Seems like a fun, clean, safe place to stay. Only giving it 3 stars though due to the experience of an impatient rude woman working the front desk Sunday 8/13/17. Apparently the internet wasn't working so the card reader was down. That woman needs to learn how to be polite no matter what the circumstances are especially given that nobody was being nasty to her. She's working in customer service area, be patient be nice..

My wife felt very threatened by the behavior of the senior owner of Lakeside KOA. Unaccompanied women might avoid entering the campground office if the senior owner is present.

We know anyone can have a bad day. All we asked for was a simple apology. The junior owner's response was an emphatic "That's never going to happen!" That says a lot about management's attitude towards their guests.

So, we filed an incident report with Corporate KOA. Their Vice President recommended that we should have called the local police if threatened.

We made sure we responded to the KOA email request for our review, which KOA uses for their President's and Founder's awards to individual KOA franchises. Lakeside KOA has blocked posting of their campers' reviews on their corporate KOA web site.

We filed a formal complaint against the "Ft Collins Lakeside CG, LLC" with the Northern Colorado and Wyoming Better Business Bureau (BBB). Lakeside KOA failed to negotiate in good faith. Because of this and other formal BBB complaints against Lakeside KOA, BBB had lowered their rating of this business to "F", which their worst possible rating.

Sites are adequate; however, bring a lot of sewer hose as they installed lines well away from other service. Tried to charge us early arrival fee (showed up at 1130 for 1:00 check in). Site was already vacant so seemed like a BS fee. We didn't pay it and they also charge for any guests who simply visit site. Our son goes to college in Ft Collins so that was another bs charge. Won't be back and don't recommend unless your in a pinch.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a hot tub site and we thought it was a wonderful amenity. Had a nice view of sunset. We were scouting this place out to bring our son along next year when everything is open as far as the kids stuff. We took an uber into town one night to hit a brewery and eat. No problem getting a ride and the driver showed us around a little. For KOA style camping this was fun one. We prefer to stay at KOA over a hotel these days. We like being outside and enjoy the people we meet.

We have just spent 2 night (w 10yr old kid) - this place is awesome as there are plenty of free offers to spend your time (mini-golf, Bumper boat, pool, fishing, pedal boat). The place is clean and kept in good shape. The staff has been wonderful and the free wifi was the best of all stays. Only thing to consider - if you need fresh food - do your shopping before arriving, as the shop offers only limited food (but non-alcoholic drinks and all other needs). On the weekends they offer a pizza cart and pancakes in the morning.

We lived at the Lakeside KOA in an RV for the summer while we were looking to buy a house in town. It was a GREAT experience! We have 2 little boys who loved taking advantage of the go-carts, putt-putt, pool, mini train rides, and fishing. Also, the bathrooms were clean, and my kids and I felt completely safe while my husband was away on work. The staff was super friendly and really helpful. I would totally do that again!
