This is a great camp ground that's just outside of the city. The staff is great. They personally take you to your site and help back you in. There's 2 beaches on the spring fed lake. 1 has a ton of inflatable water sports any age. The other is on the opposite side of the lake right next to the restaurant and is more for little ones. Live entertainment on the weekends. Golf cart and Cabin rentals. Military discount on sites. Highly recommend.
I pulled a 48' fifth wheel toy hauler in yesterday. Nice lady at the desk found two back in spots options the so called "expert" guide said "I'd never get into". After a golf cart tour listening to this old guy brag about his military background and seeing lots of available pull throughs with small rigs, no problem getting into both. When we get to the easier one I let him know I don’t need any more help it will take 10-15 mins to unload/unhook. He then informs me I can’t block the road in doing so but yet has no idea how long the site is and whether that is even possible. Like most parks most people are patient while people unhook, go around or back out, find another road and there where many others. He wants me to move to another road where I would still be blocking traffic, haul sewer/water lines/golf cart/motorcycle/etc across the entrance where I have been blocking traffic for ~ 30 mins 15 while he argues with me, about the time I could have been unloaded/unhook. Words like “This is my park, my rules, this conversation is over” made it clear I was dealing with a Military Brat with power issues he never had in the military world so goes to RV parks to try it. On the way out after I demanded a refund, he tried to direct me banging on my window I would not open. I made a U-turn right in front of the office I’m betting he could never do with a 70’ rig no problem. Not the first park I’ve been to where so-called experts have provided bad direction but take no legal liability, but this guy took the cake with the want-a-be military Sargent orders that won him a no sale refund on an overpriced site. I wasn't going to stick around and see what kind of non-sense this guy comes up with next.
Spent days trying to get a reservation. After countless calls and emails, mostly me calling them, they told me that my RV was too bad condition. My RV is a little old, but in great condition, and only 60k miles. It’s not rigged up in any way, just slightly aged paint, that’s all. Flamingo lake can go to hell.
This has been some of the best days i have had in many years.. would recommend it to any one want to relax.. i will be back
A very nice RV park located conveniently on the northwest side of Jacksonville, Florida. This park is so easy to access the freeway system around JAX. 2-3 minutes and you are on I-295 the outerbelt.
The park is clean and very well managed. We have stayed here many times and it remains friendly and well kept.
It is also very popular, so sites are scarce at times. Reservations are greatly recommended. All amenities the traveler or long term camper could want or need.
Be aware if you have kids and pets your monthly rate is around $1300 otherwise kid friendly you just pay for it!
My experience with Flamingo RV PARK IN FL GREAT PLACE THE PARK IS CLEAN THE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY GREAT FOOD I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE
Great Park good-sized Lots amazing place to stay. Always something going on or something to do. Definitely worth the money you'll spend to stay there.
We do like staying here. I think it's awesome that they open their amenities to the public. The Sunrise Cafe has killer food. There're several site types to choose from but be like the backins along the lake. The camp is convenient to just about everything in Jacksonville.
It is a great place for parents to be able to relax and watch their kids safely enjoy themselves.
Great amenities, wonderful staff. We've been coming here for almost 15 years, so it's like a home away from home.
Loved this place! Kids Really liked the swimming area! Really wish we could have stayed longer!
Fun for the whole family me and my wife and my five kids had a wonderful time.
This place is horrible staff is nasty and rude went for a day for the kids to enjoy the lake pulled in park unloaded everyone and the stuff walk on the lake they told us we needed a band well I paid 40.00 already so pack everything and everyone up went to the office to turn it into a dispute with the staff to tell me no refund and leave so I paid 40.00 to pull into a place to turn around and pull out, and yes I said some nasty word's back to them they are horrible workers and need to be fired
