Bass fishing has been mediocre at best. They recently raised the boat launch fee to $5 and I haven't seen any work done or an official at the lake. The lake has become extremely trashy and the lake grass has become so thick in places makes it hard to get around. If the officials would try to do some cleanup and get rid of some of the vegetation I wouldn't care to pay the $5 launch fee but I will go elsewhere until some of the issues has been fixed. It's sad because this could be a beautiful lake if it was maintained.

So many special memories in the past, and so many new ones waiting to be made at this beautiful lake! Until you can experience the beautiful campground at Grapevine, and the lake itself by boat, you haven't scratched the service of Fishtrap Lake!
