Horrible place. Avoid at all costs. We had a bad experience the first time (a misdiagnosis and ‘bandaid’ situation for our Beagle’s tumor, which management later apologized for) and that should’ve been our last time. My partner and I heard they were a good place for spaying and neutering. We picked our kittens up at 5:30 PM, and one kitten had peed in the carrier, left to sour on him. The other kitten has razor cuts next to her thigh! We will NEVER return, and go out of our way to redirect our friends and family to more pet friendly/family friendly providers.

I used to do fostering and took all 12+ litters of kittens to be spayed and neutered here along with over 30 feral cats from a colony. I also have my own two adult cats and a dog who I take yearly for their booster shots. We usually see Dr. Claxton and she is awesome, she's incredibly caring and thorough. First Coast No More Homeless Pets is a godsend when you're fostering or are a low income family. Without them, it would have been literally impossible for me to freelance foster animals or even afford my own animals boosters/preventative medications. I will agree the wait both in person and on the phone is absolutely absurd, but well worth the time if you're a low income individual with pets.

Not only are they excellent in service but they actually love the pets. We adopted a dog from one of their events and we decided to have our baby checked out, we went not expecting to spend much. They worked with us and made sure we did not leave without them treating our dog. They treated us wayyyy to well. Our baby is doing alot better now. Thank you for standing up to your name. To be honest we didn't expect it. Yikes we thought we were gonna lose our baby but First coast said no way, NO HOW

This place is a god-send! I adopted a kitten at the Jax Humane Society and noticed her limping when we took her home. She had a femoral head fracture on her hind leg and we were quoted several thousand dollars at another vet. No More Homeless Pets kept the price under a thousand and financed it for me. Even though she had her the ball removed from her femur, she was never in any pain. Thank you for all that you do, you truly have the animals best interest at heart!

Absolutely disgusting! I've been taking care of a stray cat for the last 6 months. We brought her in to get spayed after her recent litter and they kept her in a cage at their facility for 6 days and it appears she had no food or water. When we brought her home we realized she was a skeleton and very weak. She was also leaking bodily fluids from her backside. They told us it was probably a reaction from the anesthesia she died on my front porch this morning.
I guess they call it No More Homeless Pets because they make the animals suffer for 6 days with no nutrition and then slice them open for surgery and then they die when they come home. If she wasn't healthy for surgery then call us to pick her back up.

Every time I come here I get told the cost to have my animal seen is way lower than what it is when I get the final total. The people here are nice yes but they need to learn how to give a proper quote for your animal. It’s not like I had anything unexpected pop up. I highly recommend taking your pet elsewhere!

OmgTaylor who assisted me at the front desk was very polite, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Geneva and Deanna were also great and patient in answering my questions over the phone.
I don't know how anyone can give this business a bad review because everyone there is trying their best and seem to really care about you the customer and the pet that you're bringing in.
When it takes awhile for someone to answer the phone or if you're waiting in line at the desk to be serviced don't be upset, that means business is good.
The prices are excellent and very reasonable. I received about 10 different services for $80 on a feral cat.
This was my first visit but it definitely won't be my last!!response / report this review -

Took my 6 month old puppy here today and it was an all around good experience. About a 2 hour walk in wait but definitely worth the financial help I received. Staff was very patient with Nala and I will be returning !!

I have been bringing my pup to the Cassett location since we got him, I have had nothing but a great experience. The first time I brought him in was on a Friday at 4:30, without an appointment, I was expecting a wait, there was some sort emergency situation and we were not seen until after 8pm, however the staff great took care of us, the vet took her time, they were so nice, and we got the same care and attention as if we were the first patient of the day. I had appointments for the following puppy appointments, they were always prompt, caring, and the prices are so affordable, I am so greatful. My pup was just neutered at the Norwood location. There was a line first thing, however they have such an organized, and efficient system with patient check in and paperwork, it was quick. When I came to pick up my pup, the staff explained to after care, and answered my questions, I was in & out. The staff was knowledgeable, caring and friendly as well. Again affordable care, I am so grateful such a wonderful organization exsists. Thank you First Coast No More Homeless Pets, you all really are amazing!

The facility is quite nice and brand new. The people are very friendly and helpful. Also, the prices were drastically lower than places like Tinseltown.
Unfortunately, I took my greyhound in for a teeth cleaning and now she's dead. She was older, though not rickety. She ran laps around the yard in the morning and jumped into the truck to go to the appointment. She hadn't been having any serious issues, though she had been treated for a kidney infection a month prior. I notified the staff of that treatment.
I believe they did not know how to treat greyhounds properly due to their low body-fat. I am not certain, but my supposition is that they incorrectly administered standard anesthesia accompanied by only 60% of the recommended IV fluids. This resulted in a heart attack according to the doctor.
In addition to my dog dying, one of the staff seemed completely incompetent. Not stupid, just - not competent. I'm a semi-unique customer (I had four dogs and on my first visit and she brought other staff out to see the spectacle, then even serviced us as our vet tech). On my second visit (with the same four dogs), she didn't remember us at all and even asked us again what kind of dogs I had. With that in mind, I also question their professional staff hiring practices.
I doubt many people will have this experience, but it is my story and FCNMHP broke my heart.response / report this review -

Went there yesterday to put my sick older dog to sleep, did the walk in and did not have to wait they took us right in through the garage. The staff is the most compassionate, amazing staff that I have encountered in Jacksonville. Far better than our previous vet who charged a lot more.

They took really good care of my dog. The prices are affordable and you can tell they truly care about animals. This is only place I take my dogs great service.☺
