Cold, dry food. Tacos were harder than a corn tort should have been. Wasn't recognizible from the street. Atmosphere was cool but the menu needs improvement. Tofu wasn't on par, should probably stop offering it.
Some really good barbecue but the best thing has to be the pork cakes and fried macaroni and cheese balls. Delicious! The bourbon slushies are pretty good too
Really good food and service. The pulled pork was only a little dryer than when I make it myself. Overall really good food and style
Delicious and a great atmosphere. Even the smoked tofu is awesome, as are the bourbon slushes!
Yummy BBQ, Semi-funky environment, very down home and cool, with great beers. Even the salads are quite tasty. Counter order to be brought to your table. Their BBQ sauce is so good you can but it on everything!!
The Burbon Slushy was fantastic. They also have a Rum Slushy that tasted pretty good too. The place had a decent crowd so I am guessing the food is amazing but I will try that on the next visit.

Went in with excitement, having heard many good things. I was told by the staff that if I wanted a seat for my child (2 yrs), I could walk next door and ask to borrow one from a different restaurant. This is not customer service; they might as well have asked me to clean the tables and floors before I sit. Due to the rude reception, I was not inclined to give patronage and thus am unable to judge the food. Again, the rating given is for customer service only. I recommend you try the place and judge for yourself. Just don't be surprised if you come in the company of a toddler and aren't well received.
I ordered the half rack and my girlfriend the street tacos. She loved the tacos and the ribs came out looking amazing. But that's just it, they looked amazing. They came out cold and very tough, the Mac n cheese waa awful and like a brick. I turned the bowl upside down and nothing fell from the bowl but bread crumbs. The pototao salad was very bland and salty. My girlfriends parents sides where just as awful. The beans where hard and cold and tasteless. Needless to say this is the worst bbq I have had ever and will not be back to the new Albany location at all.
Ordered the 1/2 lb brisket with mac and cheese and baked beans. Husband also had brisket with beans and slaw. Brisket was dry, cold, flavorless and very fatty. Macaroni seemed old and very dry. Slaw was almost inedible. Only good thing was the baked beans. Portions are very small. Definitely not worth $38 for 2 people (only drank water). Have eaten here many times before, and the quality has definitely gone downhill.
Not your cookie cutter BBQ and sides. Everything has a personal touch, from the BBQ and sauces, to the homemade ranch dressing. It's absolutely a great and filling meal every time we eat here.
I love Jack Fryes and am a repeat customer. My favorite is the warm Brie salad. You can't go wrong. The atmosphere is very like something from years ago. Great food and attentive service. Parking can be an issue with only limited spaces in the lot.
We ordered a bunch of food from these guys for the company Christmas party, and they only sent us half of what we ordered. That was kind of lame, but we compensated by buying a couple of pizza which turned out to be a good idea all the way around. THE FOOD HERE IS TERRIBLE. The meats had a nice smokey flavor but were otherwise completely unseasoned. The vegetarian option we ordered was literally a block of tofu soaked in cider vin and smoked. Again, no seasoning. Their sauce is whatever. I don't like it, but maybe other people do? By far the worst thing was their collard greens though. They literally tasted like leafs raked out my back yard and soaked in vinegar. Disgusting. I had heard good things about this place, but I was incredibly disappointed.
