Meet us at the camp store at 9pm. Bring your flash light and a bag for a candy hunt. We will learn camping etiquettes and meet new friends. This is always a blast for kids young and old!

Just checked in tonight. We were placed on site number 6, wouldn’t have been my first choice, but who cares we’re still camping. The staff is very friendly, have activities for the kids and adults to do. Doug helped us back in to site number 6, which if you see it on the map or in person is a feat. We have a 36 foot travel trailer and he helped us get it in efficiently the first time. Tonight we were sitting here at our site listening to the bluegrass band play on the patio. Not sure if they are a regular or just happened to be here. Either way it was nice! Typically I’m not a huge fan of KOAs, but if we ever come back to Fancy Gap, VA, we will be staying here.

The campground is nice but there is one particular older gentleman that works here that is quite rude. Not a customer service oriented person at all. We have stayed at all Koa's across the country and this is by far the rudest person we have come across. I would not stay here again. The other staff is nice but it only takes one person to make it an unpleasant experience.

Not large family friendly. Wanted to charge us $55 over what the site fee was bc we have several children. ($114 for one night). Our children are well behaved so there was no reason to charge us double for a site. We just stayed at the beach for $52 a night and not one little bit of trouble. It’s depressing to have this happen on the way home. It never felt so good to walk away from a purse and a key chain that I wanted to buy also. They can keep it.

We just returned from our 4th stay at this campground - three in our travel trailer and once in a cabin.

As always - it was a memorial experience! The facilities are extraordinary, the RV sites are all first rate, the cabin was very comfortable - and the campground hosts, Dave & Angie Bower, are extremely friendly, knowledgable and always go the extra step to make sure you have a stress free and wonderful visit!

Fancy Gap is definately on our list for many more return visits!

We have been here twice before but have to say this time is the best! It is obvious the owners have put their heart & soul (along with lots of sweat) into making this place beautiful. We are loving how relaxing & clean it is here and how close it is to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

This is by far one of the nicest and cleanest campgrounds we have stayed at. Great service also. They pick up trash right at your site regularly. They will deliver ice and fire wood. When you check in they take you right to your site and make sure you get in OK. Can’t say enough.

Fantastic campground! Never have stayed at one quite like itthe staff is topnotch. Johnny & his wife as well as Heaven and a few others just couldn't be better hosts. The owners, Angie & David, have a beautiful and well maintained campground. It was our first time camping at a KOA and it won't be our last.

We spent 4 days there and can't wait to go back. Be sure to make reservations because this place fills up fast. The owners are longtime campers themselves and create a fantastic experience. They continue to update this place and we are making it our go too getaway.

Difficult to get to with a big rig and Wifi is terrible. I'm as close to the office as you can get and the I'm getting 1-2 bars. It's cut me off of numerous things I'm viewing. I was told they "just put out 5 new" antennaes. I don't know where they put them, but they aren't near the office. Just be honest. RV Campground Wifi is terrible everywhere!!

We just left today after a fun Easter weekend stay. Campsites were clean and the kids loved the playground and all of the Easter activities the hosts planned. The owners, hosts, and hostesses we're a constant presence making sure everything was ok and we were happy. We'll be back!

We had tried to make reservations at KOA Fancy Gap about 2 weeks before Labor Day, but the campgournd was full so we made reservations at a campgr

ound near by sight unseen. When we got there we were put in thick woods with soft muddy ground. Terrible. Didn't stay, Although they didn;t wnat to we got a refund and left. We were going back home because every campground was full for Labor Day. As soon as we had phone service again we called KOA, We told them we would take anything, They gave us one of the best sites on the property. Was helped to unload my motorcyle at the office and unhitched the trailer. The Worker on his gator took the trailer to the campsite. Had a great time riding the motorcycle on the Parkway and looking at for sale houses. We have been camping for 20 yrs and it is sad we didn't find KOA untill a couple of years ago. First Rate.

We've stayed a lot of places and I'd say this ranks pretty high on the list. All of the bathrooms and buildings were spotless, grounds were well kept and the staff was friendly. The layout is also interesting as the sites are terraced up the side of the hill (you are at the top of a mountian). While we don't live close enough to make this a weekend spot if we were ever back in the area we would return!

The staff are very nice and accommodating. The campgrounds are very well maintained, and the sites are pretty level. There's a playground for the kids, and a dog park for the fur babies, a big swimming pool. They have some kind of activities on the weekends. They usually have a special meal one evening of the weekend and ask for donations with all proceeds going to Children's Cancer Fund. We will definitely be coming back.
