Nice for a quiet weekend getaway. Either stay in the lodge or in a cottage. Also the campground had places to throw a tent or park an RV. Nice buffet served in the lodge or sit down and order.. also enjoy the coziness of the lounging area in the lodge.

I stopped by on my drive from Cincinnati to Louisville just to do homework and check out the views. The lodge was very nice, bit pretty empty (it was the sunday after thanksgiving) but I can imagine it getting pretty busy. I had heard in the past that General Butler State Park was a ski resort and found it hard to believe. Now that I've been there, the hills are big enough that I could picture it. And the lodge at the top would've had a good view. I wish I could've seen it when skiing was an option, but it was still nice.

Stayed one night with wife at the lodge and we brought our dog. The staff was super nice and friendly and gave us a room that was not close to any other occupied rooms. Our dog barks when we are away from the room so having an isolated room helped prevent disturbing the neighbors. The lodge room was clean, modern, well maintained and the balcony was nice. The two rivers restaurant was very good overall with tasty food and good service with reasonable price.

Ate at the Two Rivers restaurant at the lodge. Atmosphere was very welcoming. We had the buffet and it was very good. Lots to choose from. $14.99 buffet. Great staff. Saw 6 or 8 deer grazing as we left. Will definitely consider eating here again and look into staying at the lodge.

Always love a trip to Butler. The park is beautiful and has many areas to walk and explore. We enjoyed a nice walk by the lake. The only thing that could be improved at the park is the food. It's edible but not the greatest.

Great Place to spend time in the outdoors or grab a bite at the restaurant at the top. I visit the campground with my RV. They have very limited full hookup sites but plenty of accommodating sites with electric and water. The showers need to be updated and the lights need working bulbs the last time I visited in Sep 2017.

Outside run down. Dirty main fireplace room floor. Overflowing trash. Big main swing broken and can't be used. Dining buffet area had food on floor of both sides of buffet. Food running down both sides of buffet.. We asked for refund which was pleasantly returned and did not stay. Very very disappointed

We stayed in our travel trailer while there. Easy spots to back into. Most are flat. Some areas are more in the sun due to ash borer bug killing some trees. But most areas do have shade. Very friendly atmosphere. There are hiking trails and pool. There are also paddle boats you can rent.

We are a team and write columns on State resorts. This has been by far the worst customer service I've had through all my stays across America!!! There happen to be a power outage the night we stayed. The power was out throughout the evening, and never came back on during the duration of the morning. We ended up leaving that same day. The power never came back on. We talked with a gentleman and he gave us another night stay. I never finished the review, since I was going to give them another chance. We are now driving through Kentucky, called to redeem our free night. Now they all of sudden don't remember us and claimed they never had a power outage ! They will not redeem our stay, and were not willing to get a manager! The gentleman we talked to the first time was great, unfortunately we don't have his name. The ladies we talked to were very short not willing to help. Added note they acted the same way when we were there the first time. They were discusted with the employees and the guests. Constantly talking about them in front of guests while we were waiting. Long story short Our reviews will be out soon enough. We are not pleased with the service. Very disappointed!! I would give them negative starts if I could!

Nice park. Was not aware that the conference rooms were in a separate area than the lodges, although not very far walking distance. Otherwise a really neat spot.

Love this place but their A/C is broken and sweating sitting in the restaurant or lounge. What is worse is it will be several days before it is fixed. Very disappointed about this. Super hot weekend.

Some of the bridges and roads need to be update the camping area was nice. Stay off the road while walking your dog. People speed down the road pretty quickly.
