The hotel is under renovation and our rate was not any less than a normal Marriott. However the room is nice and everyone is very agreeable. The renovation is not in our faces like other hotels.

Not a bad place to be for an extended stay. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size, and they feature breakfast every morning.

Tiny room, the whole place was under construction so people kept slamming the walls and ceiling. They were painting and the whole inside reeked of paint fumes. Walls are very thin, I can hear everything my neighbors do. Staff is very nice at least.

Rooms are very spacious for a single person staying. Lots of local food within walking distance. Hotel staff is always willing to help!

From the moment of entering in to the hotel to get room keys I was very disappointed with one employee in general as he was worthless with customer service and problem resolution . There were a number of glaring issues with the room, ranging from a loud air conditioner, musty smell that permeated the whole stay, small shower head where you had to bend to get underneath. No housekeeper to be had during the height of the storm and leading up to the day after. I have stayed at numerous Marriott's in the past and this was the worst. The only thing of value was the free continental breakfast which was slightly above average, horrible prep for a hurricane, no back up generator really?????? If the power had gone out we would have been toast!!!!! Bad enough that you had 100+ people displaced from their houses during a stressful time and the hotel added another layer of stress altogether. If they are the only game in town during a future storm I would try and stay at some other place

Predatory charges. Booked a room during hurricane irma here. They said they allowed pets for the hurricane. Was UNFAILY charged $150 for a piece of carpet they SWORE my dog tore up. My dog does not tear up carpets, plus they have NO PROOF that my dog did this . plus this place CHARGES FOR LOCAL PHONE CALLS. $2-4 per call! With no warning sign that you'll be charged! Beware, took advantage of a needy family who needed safe shelter with their well behaved dog dog.

My kids & I stayed here with my parents while on vacation. The staff was very friendly. The desk manager always said hi to my kids anytime we left/came back to our room. The complimentary breakfast was good, there were a few times we were getting a late start & the eggs had started getting cold & the fruit was all picked over but other than that everything was good. & When the cleaning service forgot to clean our room one time & my parents mentioned it to the management staff, when we got back to our room that afternoon we had fresh towels (a few more than what we needed), a few things each of shampoo/conditioner, our beds were made, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Sarasota area!

stayed for work. other then the rooms being very small, this is a nice place to stay on a budget. the price is right, beds were comfy and the staff was VERY accommodating. I stayed here for a total of a little over a month and had my staff stay here. the location is great! they need to fix the A.C. on the upper floors otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Told my wife that they reserved adjoining rooms but then when we showed up they said no adjoining rooms were available. They were at least able to recommend another hotel down the street.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance of a couple restaurants and Publix. The room is clean and well presented when I arrived for my visit.

Awesome! Stayed for a conference and went with a group of 15 and I roomed with 2. There wasn't enough beds, so when I asked they dealt with the problem quickly and happily and retrieved an extra cot. Great service and good breakfast variety too! Bathrooms and rooms were kept tidy and organized. I'd recommend for a short stay.
