It's pretty pricey for the level of service you get but the food is good and so is the beer. Their beer flights are great, but more expensive than most other breweries in Boulder. On our last visit, the server forgot the order of someone at our table and got the beer orders wrong multiple times. I'd still go back though.
I really like the backyard dip appetizer. Highly recommended. We drive in for the coffee kolsch beer though.
Lafayette is such a cool, happening town and now we have proof with the arrival of Fate! We went for dinner last night and I like the atmosphere at this place better than the Boulder location. There is a more open feeling and everything is designed extra cool. Loved the mural of the Flatirons with the hot air balloons- it really speaks to the beauty of East County that Boulder'ites overlook - or plain don't see since they live in a bubble! The food was great and the beer was cheap - yay! I had the curry spaghetti squash. It was awesome. My friend had the cob salad. The turkey had a wonderful smokey flavor. Will do back for more!
The beer is definitely awesome but we come for the food. I crave the pastrami egg rolls with mustard dip and the farmer's market salad is so fresh and love that it changes with the season. We bring out-of-towners hereeven if they're non-drinkers. Great for kids - keep it local!
Beer is really good, definitely on par with the other microbreweries in the area in that respect. Food and atmosphere leave a bit to be desired. Basically a simple sports bar atmosphere, and the burger I had was so-so. The fried pickles were really good though!
Great ambiance, chill vibe for after work drinks, dates, or hang outs with friends. Delicious brews - highly recommend the Thor Strong, Tiger Tiger, Norns, and Uror! Perfectly balanced "Morning Wood" night cap. Great service and recommendations. Tasty Trifecta burger!
Plenty of beer selections, a few cocktails, and a decent looking menu. However don't bother ordering the cauliflower "wings" for $7 you can get .50 cents worth of food - some steamed cauliflower with paprika on it and a yogurt sauce. Really?
Came in around 6pm on Tuesday and good mix of crowd. Crowd ranging in 30 and up range. Decide was tasteful without being distractive. Bartender was cordial as well even when the beer I wanted just tapped out.
Great local craft brewery and restaurant. Love the beer, like the food. The beer here is consistently great and they have great rotating styles that mix it up. Easily one of Boulder's best breweries.
The food is good, with a fair amount of variety. I had the Root n Stem salad one day which was great. The next day the Shawarma. Prices are reasonable and the service staff is always eager to help. The frequently offer to split the bill for groups which I found helpful. Been for two days in a row while visiting so I guess I like it!
Awesome beer and great food! I had the relleno ranchero and loved it! My wife got the pit boss burger-delish!! Can't wait to go back!
Food and beer are pretty good. But expect an extra 30 mins over the estimate for to go orders. Have to wait every time I pick up food because they forget to contact the kitchen.
Fate has delicious food and beers, though the cocktails are a little eccentric for my tastes. The servers are always friendly and professional. This is a great place to grab a bite.
Great food. Large patio. Good house beer and decent guest beer selection. Parking is limited, as expected in Boulder. Great place for large groups if it's not too cold outside.
One of the better breweries in this area. Waitstaff were very attentive without being intrusive. Food was good, too. Can be busy but, we always manage to get seated quickly.
Second visit - Sadly, it was not up to its previous standards. Server was absent much of the time. Food was good, but we were ignored much of the evening.
