Today I wanted my hair wash and blow dry which only would take 30 mins today I was turned away because I had my daughter with me. I was told it’s no room for her car seat at the station. I’ve been to this location numerous of times but today I was discriminated. And she also ask do I have someone to watch my child. As a mother and living in a city with no family it’s not fair to turn someone away for brining their child with them. I could’ve gave her the same behavior I received but instead I handle the situation mature and walk out but I WILL NEVER RETURN to the salon again ! Luckily I found a REAL salon that wash my hair and accepted me to bring my child

If you have children they are not welcome here. My friend was turned away, because she had her baby in a car seat with her. She was told there was no room for the car seat in the building. She only went to get her hair washed which wouldn’t have taken no more than 30 mins. When is it okay to turn away a mom because she has to bring her child with her? Moms deserve to get pampered too. I wouldn’t recommend this place for school or services. Just spend the extra few dollars and go to a regular salon. Or find a baby sitter.

I had an updo done and not only did it take 30 minutes to be seen when I made an appointment.. But it took over 2 hours just for the updo. The updo was HORRIBLE. I wake up with better hair in the morning! They gave me a cone head and a terrible twist thing to the side. Nothing like I wanted! I understand they are students and learning but the instructor was telling her how great it was! There was honestly nothing great about what she did to my hair!

My daughter and I went to Empire to have services done by the students. My daughter had a haircut and acrylic nails and I had a haircut and a mani/pedi. We got there about 9:30am on a Friday and got pretty much right in without an appointment. In the future I would definitely make an appointment (no Saturday appts.) as the salon was pretty busy. We both got great cuts, had fantastic shampoos, and our nails look gorgeous! They were very clean, professional, and talented. We have already booked another appointment in two weeks for my daughter to get a fill and for me to get a facial! Also, their prices are very, very reasonable and they have lots of specials and promotions going on.

Its a school, I've had good experiences n flops on what i wanted done ie perms, highlights But as for straight up hair cuts I've always been happy. The teacher was always there to teach n help the girl with the style I asked for. I would never get or allow a unsure student to do my brows, there are many stylist out in salons who can't do brow shaping/waxing.

I think snobby attitude stricken woman who want the high quality salon pampering, need to go to the salon and pay the salon price then, this is a school.

Attitude and presentation at this location, is horrible! Inefficient in ways as well.. Front desk is a joke! Customer Service is more like a disservice! the girls act like they don't want to be there nonetheless, service hair. No sense of urgency or extend any courtesies. Majority of the students arrive late, so if you have an early appointment, you either will be waiting, or the student may not even attend that day. The educators or management should step in and give serious direction because this location needs it. It is a school, so this would be a perfect place to learn.
