Great steak always. That's a given but all the side dishes and appetizers are great too. Definitely get the deviled eggs, and the lobster cocktail. Potato au gratin was good. Wish they still had the roasted truffle cauliflower.
Also if they could offer the dashi braised sea bass like they do in Cherry Creek we would be back every night!
We eat here every time we are in Vail (multiple times a year). I am an Elway's hater (politics), but love his restaurants! Great food and great service as usual. LOVE IT.
Food was good. It took us over an hour to have tacos and a salad on a not busy night. When we brought it up to the manager he said that's how long it takes. Our waitresses said she had no idea what happened to our food. Said she would take care of it. And taking care of it meant the manager was a jerk. We have been to this Elways more the 30 times always reliable, not today. Shocked a bad manager.
One of the best steak I have ever had! Ross and Scott provided us an excellent dinner experience
Food taste and presentations were superb! Staff was great and Joe was incredibly passionate about making our experience priceless! This is a must stop in Vail!
Rude hostess at 9:20 pm, Jan 21. Everyone else really nice.
Took the family there last night. I've been there a total of four times now. It is my favorite place in Vail to go. The service is incredible and the steak was out of this world. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm reception of smiling, friendly faces. The food was delectable and cooked to perfection. Our servers were attentive and swift with refills, clearing our dishes, and bringing dessert. The atmosphere is the epitome of upscale and I can't wait to return! Joe, you run a top quality restaurant that deserves praise, and I am so glad my family was able to be apart. Thank you!
I just called to make a reservation for 12 people for January 14th, 2017. The call was taken by Kevin Sullivan, who identified himself as the head maitre d'. I just have to say that he was probably the rudest person I've ever spoken to on the receiving end of a reservation. After asking where I live (cherry Creek, Denver, CO), where i'm calling from (my office in Mpls), where I was staying (the four seasons) and telling me the night was wide open, he abruptly changed his mind and said with a credit card i could make a reservation before 6:00 pm or after 9:30 pm, and then hung up before I could say anything, well, that's the reason for my review. Welcome to Elway's Vail. So even being a good Elway's customer, on two fronts, buying an Escalade from John Elway's Cadillac in Park Meadows and frequenting Elway's Cherry Creek location about once a week for the last year, i was hung up on, good luck to anyone trying to talk to this Pr&ck. I wonder if Mr Elway knows how his staff represents him, specifically Kevin Sullivan. You lost my business here as there are 20 other spots for a good dinner in Vail, and i just don't think i'll be stopping by Cherry Creek anymore either. My old man always said, don't complain, just don't go back. I'm taking only half of his advise here.
Excellent steak house with plenty of options and cuts. The meals are well prepared and the sides are enough for two to share. I recommend the New York Strip. It is an excellent cut with outstanding flavor. I also recommend getting a side of the sauteed mushrooms.
