Live music in restaurants is usually a bit of a mess - I know because I'm usually the one playing the music and facing the crowd - but the House of Blues brand is built on music and they do it right. It make get a lottle too loud for conversations when a band takes the stage, but by the size and appearance of the stage (and speakers) you should kind of see that coming. . .
The food has always been good, and the portion sizes are pretty big. This is a strip property, so anyone can tell you that you can expect to pay more than when you go to a locals joint (around $15 - $25 bucks per person before drinks) but it is a fun 'night out' place to go. There is a full bar also, so you've got options!
As far as music venues go this has a special place in my heart. The staff in the concert hall and restaurant have always been great to work with, without the attitude that you can get from some crew/staff at busy venues that also have the whole restaurant thing going on too I love the HOB.
Coming to Vegas?! Plan your trip around a concert (in the concert hall) you've been dying to catch, because there are only a few places that feel like this one. great size - feels like a big concert and a small show at the sme time. not a bad place in the audience to be.
Great place to see a concert. The drinks flow quickly and the sound is load and good. You can almost always find tickets for shoes the same day at a resonable price.
House of Blues missed the mark today. As a local who comes here often for the food and entertainment, I was definitely disappointed in the service and the food today. We had reservations today because we figured it might be busy due to The Thanksgiving holiday. We got there early and checked in. We waited until our appointed time to be seated. However, the restaurant wasn't full or busy so we could have been shown our table sooner. But that wasn't a big deal. The waitress whose name I don't know because she never introduced herself was not customer service oriented. She came to the table quickly and we felt rushed to say what we wanted to drink. She didn't greet us didn't ask if we had any questions. She just came up and said what are you having to drink? She brought them back and said are you ready to order? Before I could barely get my sentence out that we weren't quite ready she was already leaving the table. We ordered, and got our food. However the shrimp tacos were bland and barely had flavor, my fries were luke warm, and my husband had shrimp and grits and said the grit patty or whatever it was, was not as soft or flavorful as it had been in the past. The waitress came back once to check on us again in a really hurried way and to give us the check. I'm disappointed in the food and service from today. We've never had a problem before. Maybe we'll find another restaurant to be our go to.
I really love this place for concerts. Always have had a great view of the stage. Perfect size. Not too big, not too small. I have never sat at a table at any concert I have ever been to. So, not too sure how that feel to sit at a rock show.
Tables had seats that were too close together. We felt squished and dreaded getting up for more food or drinks. Otherwise it was a GREAT experience! The large table atmosphere allowed us to meet new people. We all shared in the sane feelingto pray for those involved in the mass shooting. Vegas Strong
Fun place with live music good drinks and some extraordinary plates. Good pricing overall I like the place and get to it most times I am in Vegas. It is a for sure live bands music playing which I love.
Convenient parking location casino next door and of staying at nearby hotel you are within walking distance.
I want to the Gospel Bunch on Sunday. Everything was good. The food, fellowship, and price. I would recommend to everyone. Ms. Patty was great and set the atmosphere. Enjoyable experience
While this restaurant looks flashy and is not too expensive well that is where to good stuff ends. The shrimp appitizer was way over cooked however the sauce and cornbread was good. When I asked for another piece of cornbread to dip in the left over sauce I was told I would have to buy and entire pan! The fried chicken was only so so. I'm from the South and KFC has better chicken. The macaroni and cheese which was recommended was put together with fake cheese sauce. The only good thing we had was the bread pudding. Save you money and eat somewhere else!
Las Vegas ain't cheap. Gone are the days of $3.99 steak and eggs and $10.00 buffets. So when searching for a cheap breakfast around Mandalay bay all we found was fast food and food courts that were under $20 a plate. Lo and behold while making our way to McDonald's across the street we see a breakfast special at house of blues. $8.99 eggs bacon or sausage hash browns and toast. Wow! Not expecting much we were incredibly surprised how good everything was and the portions were very filling. Waitress and wait staff were extra sweet and attentive. Going back again soon!
Voodoo Shrimp is always off the chain! When you make it to HOB, make sure to visit the bar. Best bar staff on town for sure! Love this place!
I went to a concert here and it was a really cool venue! It sounded great and looked awesome but it's strange for people on the floor because barricade is so close to the stage that you can't see anything (?) The biggest problem is that Event security is seriously incompetent. The drinks are also waaay over priced, but that's just vegas.
Cheesy very Cheesy!! I went to have dinner there knowing the live performance didn't start until 8:00. I expected to walk in and be greeted with the same feeling I have when I walk into the Hard Rock Cafe only with Blues. The only music playing was what was bleeding in from the casino, Techno dance music. I told the waitress about it and she was pretty indifferent. If I ever go again, it will only be for a live performance and never for dinner. It was the House of Techno that night.
I was really excited about winning free tickets to see Hedwig and the angry inch could barely hear anything but yelling the worse show I have seen not to mention hard to keep up with. Definitely makes me not want to go there again. Not to mention there wasn't alot of choices of seating. The food and drinks are over priced and they don't have many choices. (Especially if you don't like seafood)
Lindsay was a breath of fresh air. Food was excellent & service was better. We had breakfast on our way to the airport. We had a bad experience at Tony Romas on Fremont the night before. It was just nice to leave Vegas on a good note.
