I had a lot of problems with this university a couple of months ago. Christine Illig was very unprofessional.
Loved Edinboro! Everything is so easy to find, made some life long friends, professors are nice and knowledgeable, everything is within a short walk and the campus is beautiful. I graduated in 2012 and miss it dearly.
I love this campus and University because of the opportunities that they offer and the affordable pricing. I have been attending Edinboro for 3 years and in that time, professors have worked with me to ensure my success. Also, the campus is a great size where it is small enough to get around easily, but big enough that you can meet someone new everyday.
Best years of my life That is why I continue to return for more and more education.
Great business program! I enjoyed my time as a student, living on campus and also commuting as a senior. It's a beautiful campus as well.
My admissions counselor was super rude the entire time. I called in about resigning up for some classes for the fall semester. Everyone was nice until I had to talk to my actual counselor. They seem to be based upon which area you're from. Being from Erie County I got Meighan Lloyd. From the moment she started figuring out why I called and how she could help she was rude. She acted like the entire time I should have already known everything. Like umm, that's why I'm calling you! To find out this information. She wasn't as bad in person. But every time I have to talk to her on the phone she is very very rude! Totally makes me not want to come to Edinboro if someone who is supposed to be helping you get excited for college and signing up has such a poor attitude! She should be fired. There are many better people who deserve her job. Working with people may be hard, but if you can't do it then quit! Don't scare future students away just because you have a attitude problem!
They don't care about you, all they care about is the money Save your money and go elsewhere.
There are thousands of much higher quality colleges if you're seeking a successful future career!! Be wise, don't compromise, it's an investment.
It has been a frustrating experience with apathetic teachers and staff, especially during the strike. I have been told "I don't know know" more times than I can count. Where can I find tutors? I don't knowThe office of students with disabilities was especially unhelpful and could not accommodate my request due to outdated paperwork. Where I can I go for help? I don't know..
I have now filed my second Title IX complaint against Edinboro University on behalf of my friend who was raped on campus once during her Fall 2015 semester by a classmate and once during her current Spring 2016 semester by a tutor, who is employed by the university. Both times, she did not receive her due justice. The first time, she was told by multiple faculty members that the rape was her fault because she had been intoxicated at a party. She was told she should not have been drinking, and her case was dismissed. The second instance also failed to evoke any disciplinary action by the university against the rapist, despite it being reported. I refuse to remain silent. I will continue to advocate for my friend, as there are likely other victims that Edinboro has failed. This university is a disgrace. How dare Edinboro allow its faculty to remain complacent in the wake of such horrendous acts of violence against women. They need to understand that there are young women who are too depressed to go to class, too suicidal to care about their education, too afraid to speak up because they feel as if they do not have a voice - all because Edinboro failed them by allowing faculty to be bystanders. Shame this joke of an institution.
The education is wonderful. The professors really take great pride in ensuring the students understand the material and make classes interesting. The campus is beautiful and recently endured many updates including a brand new science hall (Cooper), dorms, student center with a modern fitness area, and an enclosed bridge that trails half way across campus for safety and convenience in the winter. This college provides a wonderful educational career with many amenities. They really think of everything!
