The University of Pittsburgh is a state-related public research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The university is composed of 17 undergraduate and graduate schools and colleges at its urban Pittsburgh campus, home to the university's central administration and 28,391 undergraduate and graduate students.

I'm not a student nor work at the University of Pittsburgh. This university is a top notch school that attracts people from Pittsburgh, the state of Pennsylvania, and from across the United States. My cousin graduated from University of Pittsburgh in 2016.

Went to the University of Pittsburgh Dental School for a crown on a broken tooth. I am very pleased with the thoroughness and quality of their work.

Dental Student Jenna, and instructor Dr Kernick, were awesome.

I love the University of Pittsburgh; from it I've received a world class education and a vibrant community during both my undergraduate and graduate careers. Unfortunately, while the students and faculty are amazing (not without their flaws, but that's the same everywhere), the higher administration can only be described as a cesspit. Over the past few years, they have spent millions on union busting firms, refused to divest Pitt's endowment from fossil fuel industries, and generally demonstrated that while Pitt is home for its students and faculty, its administration sees it as nothing more than a financial entity for their own self enrichment.

It's a Beautiful building inside and out. The nationality rooms are (during better times) open for tours. They are a real treat during the Holiday season when each of them are decorated to represent their country. This is the only time the 2 huge fireplaces are lit and tended to.

Beware if you or a friend were recruited by FDIC. They will put you into a war zone you can not imagine. Stunning injections lobotomies. California was and is a war zone in federal banking regulation.

Murders rapes maiming frame ups. Loomis Sacramento Robbery 1999 was my only clue and I was warned not to work as a bank examiner by my accounting professor. I was hit the first day until the last day for a year. Throat slit and escaped robbery I forgot for 18 years

I went to the navy in 1983,with a Hill family member of PA. He got nuke exposure but did not see the stun inject nuke stealth warfare I did. F the fed. Waffle House looks better when shot by a guy in a mask

It's huge and the architecture is Fantastic. University of Pittsburgh is scattered all over Oakland so it gives you plenty of chances for different variety of photographs.

The Cathedral of Learning is an architectural masterpiece. Take a tour of it if at all possible. We were a little late getting there, but were able to check out some of the different rooms representing different countries around the world. Very interesting!

I’m originally from Texas and kinda ended up here as a freshman on accident. All my dream schools rejected me or their financial aid was not pleasant. I have visited TONS of schools from Chicago, LA, NYC, ATL, TX + and all of them were “my dream place” it feels great now saying I go here because this place seriously is the best place in the world to me. I could NOT be happier here. An environment that cares about its students, throws challenges at you IF YOU WANT THEM and above all seriously a stunning and unique place. From the cathedral of learning, to its top notch education. Seriously this place is a hidden gem and I couldn’t be happier here. Don’t be fooled by its “public” status. Yes it is a public school but it gives other schools a run for their money at a seriously affordable price(assuming you get aid which is kinda on your part from academics). I can’t stress enough how perfect this place is to me. Even it’s imperfections like how it lacks grocery stores or sometimes lacks food or “cardiac Hill” all make really good stories and the school never stops improving. Is it prestigious? Not to the extent of other places. But will you have an awesome time AND a competent education that’s world class?? Yes! I sound like I’m advertising but I really feel that way and so do other students. BEST PLACE TO STUDY IN THE US. H2P!

    Great public school.

The housing around the campus is affordable, and the level of education is amazingly good. The school is also well-known for its medical school and it has the long history. If you are considering a medical related career, this is definitely the school that you should consider.

Please cease the cruel experiments that go on in your laboratories. This is an insult to academia, the very values that you supposedly represent. Knowledge should not come at this cost.

Good-looking campus, even though it feels more like part of Oakland. Lots of restaurants nearby!

I went into this experience with the expectation of having a good time at the university of Pittsburgh, instead i ate at a small campus bistro and was harassed and made fun of by people passing by because i was not eating a 100% gluten free meal. I just wish that they knew that my anus and bowel system cannot handle a gluten free diet, then maybe they would have been more understanding people.

this university does not care about democracy and legitimately encourage students to defy the law and rewards them for it,. Giving credit to protest the sacred right to vote for all Americans? seriously, Universities are suppose to be a place of knowledge and inclusion of ideas, so that they can be discussed openly and FAIRLY, this university promote fascism and the removal of any idea that is not complying to their ideology, this is a slippery slope and a scar to the freedom of speech and liberties. Shameful example of poor education.

This is a wonderful school; this is from experience. I have had family members attending or are alumni! The school has many things to major in; also one of the most beautiful campuses.

Students here seem to have little to know tolerance for anyone who is not a Progressive leftist. Like many colleges, they preach about diversity and inclusion, but when it comes to diversity of thoughts and ideas, they simply do not care.

I went to college here, and honestly best school ever! I have a BA in Communication, and I’m returning this year to get a Master of Health Administration. Everything is good, such as food, exercise facilities, professors, and social events. Pitt also helps you get an internship with their internship-guarantee program. If you go to Pitt you definitely need to do that! I did three internships and one research fellowships during college. The school is nationally ranked, always a top 100 university on US World News and Report (I think Pitt is #66 this year). School of Public Health (which I’m going to attend) is a top 20 public health school.
