If you're the type of person that likes a dive spot, this is the place to check out. Fresh made hot sandwiches with great Pepperidge Farms breads and rolls and they only use Boars Head meats and cheeses! I live in the area and frequent this place often. The Monty Cristo is an outstanding sandwich. If you really want a good lunch, this is a must.

Had breakfast. Pancakes, eggs and sausage. Excellent place to eat and same couple own perry house bed and breakfast which is also an excellent place to stay.

I love this place!! Monte Cristo is wonderful. Not so simple BLT (I didn't get the peppers on mine) was so delicious I ordered it three days in a row. The staff is friendly. This is a fun little place to go.

Some of the best sandwiches I've had in North Carolina. Best lunch spot in Banner Elk. Delicious food with reasonable prices. Extremely friendly as well. Couldn't recommend it more.

Got takeout. Sandwich was ok. But sides were terrible. Coleslaw seemed like I'd was 2 months old and not edible. Potato salad was blah.

Nothing special. Decent breakfast burrito & the pancakes were ok. Fair prices & fast. Went back for a burger. Not only was my order wrong. But the "burger"was a pre formed party that tasted like a salsberry steak frozen dinner. Gross. Not to mention that it had more salt than the Dead Sea. Never again dunns.

Kid-friendly, fast service, beautiful views. Food is good. Excellent gravy. Go-to for comfort food that isn't greasy.

The service was decent but for this type of restraunt, acceptable. The food was amazing with one of the best burgers in banner elk, the big arch. A great place to go to when stopping by for a quick lunch. Overall good location and atmosphere. Overall nice place to go while passing through banner elk, or eating a quick lunch before going down the road to fish in the elk river.

This place optimizes the word foul. You walk in and the cleanliness is clearly an issue, but I was starving so I figured I would just give it a shot. I looked around for the menu and the counter girl looked like a petrified Harry Potter character, staring off in a vegetative state. Which, was still manageable for me. After she gets off the phone the overweight sweaty grill cook starts to complain to her saying "I didn't sleep last night. I am so hung over. I don't want to be here." My boyfriend almost turned around right then, but we decided maybe his attitude and gross appearance/ demeanor wouldn't effect our experience outside of this interaction. I am finally able to order and I ask for egg whites (the yolks upset my stomach) and he quickly spun around like the exorcist and told the girl "we can't do that." I then looked at him to clarify and repeated "you can't?" He then insisted "he couldn't." I would have happily paid up to three dollars in upcharges for this to be accommodated, I just simply didn't want to have an upset stomach. At that point I was done. I would rather starve than give them a dime to support the pathetic excuse for a business that they are running. I even called back to try an speak to the owner, it took me several called to get an answer. I was just hoping it was just an off day, the owner wasn't present nor was a manager on duty. The guy on the phone was nice, but not helpful in the slightest. I will drive to Boone or go to Sorrento's on Sunday. I run and build restaurants and catering companies for a living. This place is clearly only in business because of the location. I will not ever return here even though I live within walking distance. If I could give them zero stars I would.
