Looked all over Myrtle Beach for some steamed spice shrimp for my Daddy. Didn't want buffets, which boy they have a bunch here! But we found the best shrimp in town at Duffy Street Seafood Shack!! Cooked just right, seasoned well, delicious!! My Daddy ate every one. Service was excellent! Loved the cozy, bluesy atmosphere!! I highly recommend this place. Don't be fooled by how low key it looks on the outside, they've got it goin on inside!!
Lively little place convenient to most places in North Myrtle. We went in the evening during SOS so it was quite crowded. Prepare to wait for your food, I think each dish is cooked to order. Had the shrimp n grits, best I've ever tasted!!! Highly recommend if you're a fan of shrimp n grits. My dinner companion had the fried shrimp platter and said it was delicious. Prices were average.
I was pleased with everything, great location, music, and atmosphere. My husband and I split three appetizers and they were perry good. They serve peanuts after you are seated, so that we good because we were pretty hungry by the time we got settled in at the hotel.
Yum! I've been here 4 to 5 times! I love their food. Crab legs and scallops are to die for. It's usually crowded from 6 to 8 but it's worth it. Best seafood around mytrle beach!
Ordered a soft shell crab sandwich and a chicken sandwich. Prices weren't crazy for the food, but $3 for a fountain soda is asking a bit much. Went for lunch, the service was good, but the soft shell crab tasted more like whatever they fried it in than anything else. In fact, I couldn't even taste the crab. Soft shell crab isn't an incredibly strong flavor to begin with, so you've gotta be careful how you cook it. Wasn't impressed at all. Especially not for a $45 bill for 2 at lunch.
Perfect location on Main Street. Service is excellent. The hamburgers & shrimp & grits were very good. Chef salad was all lettuce. Next time will try the seafood.
Great place to grab a few drinks and enjoy good seafood. The bar makes good cocktails and beach drinks and they do have a fishbowls. Unless you're allergic, it's nice that there are peanut in shells as an "appetizer" on every table.
We went on a Tuesday night around dinner time during the busy summer season. The wait for our 7 person party was 45 minutes, which is not unusual. The server we had seemed quite new but was nice. The food took about half an hour to arrive after we ordered. The food was very good and fresh. One complaint is that there is only a single male and single female bathrooms. I am sure it would have been a better experience had we not been there during the busy season.
Our Server Jared was very attentive. The happy hour special was amazing. The crabs and hush puppies were delicious. Will come back again.
Duffy Street is a must go to for steamed oysters and shrimp. Biggest and best oysters we have had on the Strand both in and out of season. Highly recommend.
Waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was burnt. I regret going.
Before I start I want to let people know that I work in retail and have also worked in the restaurant business Today I went to dinner with a group of 6 for some good tasting seafood. The good news is If your looking for BONES in your fish tacos ( a 1 inch and a 1/2 inch bone) then this is your place!!!! The better news is when you point that out to your waiter, they will literally tell you that bones in your fish is normal. It's always good to learn new things when you go out to eat. The even better news is that Tiffany, the operations manager is really really really helpful. She even agreed that BONES in your fish is not out of the ordinary. Don't worry everyone, you will get 15% off that item, not your meal, once you demand to speak to the manager. Overall, I guess the meal could not have gone any better. I learned something new, I almost choked on fish bones (which is normal at a restaurant) and the management staff has a very poor understanding on how to handle issues like these. I guess I'll wait for Tiffany to call me back like her staff promised she would, since according to 2 out of 3 people the owner is not reachable (the other one said the owner will call me back directlywhich will be right after Tiffany calls me I am assuming!) I recommend everyone to use their hard earned money at a different restaurant.
Ate at Duffy's tonight. Without a doubt, the shrimp, oysters and clams were small and way over steamed. The menu said their collard greens were really good and southern like Grandma's. Well, once again, horrible horrible collards. I have never had collards with onions, literally just cut up and put it there not even cooked and soft. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Flies everywhere, music playing was bad. Waitress was very nice though. This place was just plain dirty!!!!
