1st time for my wife and I but for us good food and great service. I had the tuna was a bit over cooked but the stuffed flounder was to die for. Wait staff professionally trained, knowledgeable, and fast. We'll definitely be back.

Great food, great service, very good salad bar. They start you off with REAL corn bread hush puppies and honey butter. They were amazing. My wife said her prime rib was the best she ever had. My daughter's steak was medium rare perfection. Just be aware that this place has a bar side and a dining room side. The Google pricing is two dollar signs, and I'm sure that is true for the bar side. The dining room side is really three dollar signs, but was worth it.

We stopped here after our Dolphin Cruise from Express Watersports, since the stop is right outside this restaurant and the Bloody Mary's were highly recommended (we did not try it). Also, it was around 4:30pm when we arrived and it was happy hour. The wait time for a table was 30 minutes, we stayed regardless because there was a bar on the lower level where you could get a drink and an appetizer during your wait, we were given a buzzer to be called up once our table was ready.

The environment is nice, all wooden inside, we had a couple beers and cheese sticks, once our table was available, we closed our tap at the bar and moved up to the second floor. We were served water and Hush Puppies right away, these were delicious along the butter we were served.

I cannot say anything about the surrounding restaurants or taste of the seafood here, but I don't think this is the place to go for seafood. The menu looked tasty, but for a place near the ocean I expected more seafood items at a reasonable price. Everything seemed pricey, I ended taking a meat cut. The meal we ordered gave us access to the salad bar, it was nice and had variety, it was nice to have a salad while waiting for our meal. The meat cut came with a side, we could choose from steamed vegetables, rice pilaf, and baked potato.

The ambiance was enjoyable, nice food overall, good music, we had a nice view, relaxing after walking all day, the service was really good. For two meals, 4 beers, and cheese sticks, we spent around 80 dlls not including tips. I did think this was very expensive, but we were tired and did not know the area, there was not that much info online to determine if any other place was better and this one had the best reviews.

I still gave it 5 stars, we felt safe, nearby our activity area, place was nice, and we had a nice time.

One of my wife's favorite restaurants to visit while we snowbird in Myrtle Beach, the food is always fresh and delicious. Starting the meal with complimentary hush puppies and honey butter prepares your taste buds for the trip to their great salad bar. The broiled scallops with melted butter for dipping are both of our favorites and never fail to please either one of us. And finally, the view of the marshes in Murrell's Inlet is the topping on the cake. You can't go wrong with a trip to Drunken Jack's Restaurant!

Good seafood in a popular beach location at Murrell's Inlet . Nice salad bar l. Food was better than average but nothing truly special. Nice atmosphere. Don't visit often, maybe once a year as we are from out of town, but we keep going back. There are cheaper places and places with better food, but more expensive. Seems like a fair balance. Appetizers are big enough to split and share a small meal.

Not a fan. Definitely not for families on a budget. We came here on a strong recommendation. The atmosphere was great. If you can sit outside it will make the experience better. This was our last day here and we've enjoyed a number of local restaurants. This didn't live up to those. The service was eh. The point shrimp sandwich was It's saving grace. The sampler appetizer They could have charged less for it. At $16.50 I was expecting just a tad more than what we received. I didn't like any of it. Overall I didn't think it was with $50 For lunch. Especially for a tea, soda, sampler appetizer, and poboy shrimp and fries.

We eat here every time we come to the beach. The lounge has live music sometimes and is a good place to wait to be seated for dinner. We enjoy the view out back.
Our seafood and steaks have always been delicious. Our servers were very efficient and friendly.

Yum! Amazing food that is always highly desired. The hush puppies start the meal and are absolutely fantastic, then the main course and any of their seafood is incredible, my favorite is the lobster tails but my fiance prefers the crab legs. The only problem with this place is the sheer number of stairs, definitely not somewhere for someone who is handicapped or in a wheel chair, also expect a long wait.

Great atmosphere and great food and service.
This is one restaurant we don't make reservations for. Waiting an hour or longer in the bar with the view of goat island with the goats and peacocks is okay with me. An appetizer and a drink and you will have a great time. If that's not your thing, call ahead. This is a place always on the list every time we come to the beach.

We came in as a party of 12 plus a high chair. We were told it would be an hour wait unless they split us up, but the tables would be across from each other. We said that would be fine. They sat us a few minutes later, but the tables were on two different levels. The table next to us was empty and would have accommodated us easily. We were told that it would be a safety issue to put the high chair on the end. I asked for a manager. She came over and looked at me with a deer in the head lights look. When I asked about the second table, she told me that the other table was in another server's section and that she told the girl at the front we would be separated via radio and was not sure what she relayed to us. She made no attempt to remedy the situation and hid from our table for the remainder of our stay. She even hid around the corner when we were leaving.

It was also Happy Hour when we arrived. We asked what the specials were, and were told that Happy Hour was only at the bar.

I ate at this restaurant two days before and the food and service were excellent. I raved about it to my family, so we all went. Needless to say, the restaurant did not make a good first impression for them.

Absolutely incredible food and the staff was beyond friendly and informative! My family and I highly recommend this place. Had a little bit of everything and it was all amazing! Definitely worth the wait. Wouldn't walk away from this place if there was a 2 hour wait. Terry G was a fantastic waitress.

Drunken Jacks consistently delivers quality dishes, they always have. But I would not expect something exceptional. Have a look at the menu before you go as I wouldn't say they have a large variety to choose from. It seems a touch overpriced for what you get but considering that the entire area is a vacation destination, perhaps not. Their hush puppies are still very good, just not as good as they were years ago. Expect quite a wait in summer months. The staff have always been great. Beautiful location.

Over an hour wait to even be seated.negative. The full menu isn't served on the patio outside. Who does that? I can't attest to the food because no place is good enough to wait over an hour to be seated inside so you can enjoy the full menu. A few extra steps outside with the food is no different than delivering it to the table inside. Best of luck if you go here.

Drunken Jacks has never failed me. Beautiful inlet view. Fantastic service from door to dining table and great food. Fantastic menu selection and their hush puppies and sweet butter sauce are worth it alone. The only downside is they don't take reservations so if you have really little ones the dinner wait could be a little challenging. However they have an awesome bar with live music downstairs for the wait. Highly recommend this restaurant. Update 6/13/17 - Drunken Jack's continues to not let me down. One thing I noticed was different is they are now setting up tables downstairs rather than it just being the bar area. Its a little smoky smelling down there but you still get the beautiful inlet view. Had lunch there and got the French Dip which was extremely large portioned and very good. My wife had the grouper sandwich and was very pleased (pretty dependable item on their lunch menu). They have a decent salad bar but I did notice no banana peppers for some reason. And of course, we got the hush puppies with their amazing sweet butter. Bare in mind that hush puppies are not a complimentary item at lunch but you have to have some!

My fiance and I had lunch today at Drunken Jacks. This review is not really about the food because we only had 2 appetizers, Calamari and 1/2 dozen oysters (which were great) and drinks. I was really impressed by the decor and friendliness of the staff. We sat outside with a great view of the marsh. The outdoor seating is great and highly recommend. The interior reminded me of a 70's era lounge and I'm saying that as a compliment. If you have any connection to that era, you will absolutely love this place. My wife and I had conversations with various staff members who were very friendly and approachable. I can't wait to go back here for dinner in the upstairs dining room.

Very good lunch. We had a group of 10 and our server was excellent. Most of our group got the She crab soup which was very very good even though it wasn't as hardy as others I've tried. I ordered the Blackbeard Salad and the herb encrusted Chicken was scrumptious. I'd definitely recommend for lunch. Gorgeous view, cozy inside

A very nice dining experience and night out. The wait wasn't to bad (20 minns), great outdoor bar with good live music that was quiet enough we could still talk at our table and the seafood was great. Our server John was knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. The hostess could have been a little more friendly and outgoing. We had enough food leftover for a second meal.
