i always have a great meal here. I like that its tucked away so it seems like your eating somewhere exclusive. The staff is always friendly and informative and the food is always top notch. Its really hard to find upper class restaurants in some parts of southern Ga. Chain places rule but coming from a restaurant town (Baltimore) this is a welcome treat.

Unique dining experience in a back alley in downtown Macon. Everything I've ever had from here over the last 20 years has been amazing. Whatever you order will be at it's best. How do you improve a ribeye!?! We've ordered appetizers that don't even sound good just to see what magic awaits. The giant bill is worth every stinking penny. My wife and I love Downtown Grill. Best in 100 miles.

Great food & customer service! I ordered the lamb chops w/ mashed potatoes & broccoli. I love the bread. Nice atmosphere. Great for date night! Definitely coming back!

The food here is awesome. One of the best places to eat in Macon. Had the fish special blackened along with green beans which were seasoned perfectly and grilled broccoli which was delicious. The Krispy creme bread pudding is to die for. Our waitress was Shannonshe is the best!!! This is the third time I have eaten here and have been extremely happy with the food and service EVERY time!!!

Amazing food, great staff and cool atmosphere. This is our go-to for date night! Fried artichoke hearts, mussels in lemon butter and the caprese salad are a few of my favorite appetizers. All are glorious!

I love this place. The food is delicious and there is plenty to choose from. My food is always cooked perfectly. The servers are the best in town. The prices are a little higher than your average restaurant but it is worth it.

The food was amazing, customer service was great. The decor not so much. It's dated and old needs update and a little music played overhead couldn't hurt. I felt I had to whisper my whole conversation and the room was illuminated by table candles. I felt like I was in an old Christmas movie..

Strengths: Excellent place to try a new whiskey or bourbon! The entrees are not overpriced. Great atmosphere and menu variety.
Weaknesses: The servers could use a little more training but are competent.
Food review: Aged ribeye and stuffed fillet are great choices. Bone marrow appetizer could use a little less bread and a little more bone. Grit fritters and Tuna are great appetizer options.response / report this review -

Outstanding food and service every time. Beware if you are sensitive to smoke that they allow smoking in the bar area, which can carry over a little into some areas of the seating area. Doesn't bother us, but it could bother some people.
