Nice staff, always helpful. However, the return process and purchasing process is incredibly slow and painful because of the antiquated software Dover Saddlery uses. Checking out is always a 10-15 minutes process and painful. But the staff are wonderful and most products awesome.

The Dover Saddlery staff has been as exceptional as their selection every time I've shopped there, and am grateful we have a convenient location in Alpharetta, Georgia. You can't go wrong with their return policy and if you're in a rush, just call ahead and ask for help in advance. We felt no sales pressure and like each purchase, no matter what size, was appreciated. I've had the same consistent experience over several years and will be going back for all of our needs.

Dover generally has exactly what I need. The customer service is always good. The prices are surprisingly competitive. I definitely prefer to go to the store rather than order online.

I have been into this store a handful of times. The last time that I went into this store it was to return tack. Dover has a return policy that states for anytime and any reason you can return items. I do not abuse this policy. This was the first time that I had ever returned any items. I was very rudely greeted by Janice when I walked up to the counter. She asked "oh we have returns I see?" I said yes and I would like my things back on a giftcard. I had quite a few things to return. One of the items was a brand new girth. It was pity put on my horse one time to see if it fit. Janice told me that they couldn't take the girth back nor any of my other items. She suggested that I take my things to the Snooty Fox to sell. my mouth hit the floor in disbelief. I have seen people bring in very used boots with mud all over them and get a new pair. Like I said, I do not abuse the return policy but to treat me that way was absurd. After much arguing, The manager came and I was able to return some but not all of my items. My friend was returning a couple of items as well and the manager told her that the return policy isn't a trade in program.. This store has a problem with their company return policy. Dover states that for any reason and anytime you can return things that you have bought. I WILL NOT be going back into this store. Dover needs to go over their policies and procedures with the employees and managers so that everyone is on the same page. My experience was unnecessary. The staff were very rude and I will not be going back.
