It's a nice little store with about anything you could really need grocery wise during your stay on the island. The prices will be a little higher than what you get on the mainland, but that's to be expected. The store is clean, and the baked goods we bought were good as well.

If you are familiar with "Gilmore Girls", this is the 'Doose's Market' of Mackinac Island. Actually had a really good selection. Some stuff was price high (because everything on the Island is), but a there were quite a few items that were priced very well. Staff was friendly as well.

Great little food store. This store is the oldest on the island and the people here were very friendly too. The prices were higher than we spend at home but all groceries must be brought to island via boat or plane, making this part of the costs factor. We did purchased some items we needed to drink during our stay on the island.

A very tidy and cozy local grocery store, this place is also the oldest grocery store in the country! I found it to be a bit busy but the selection was good and the staff were polite.

Doud's offers a great selection of items at reasonable prices. Given that this is the main grocery store on the island this is extremely fortunate! They cover pretty much all the bases. My only criticism is that I came down with food poisoning from eating one of their steaks (cooked medium). Be skeptical of the fresh meat, it is an island after all.

Great little store if you are on the island for a night or two. Fresh fruit that is adorable, and a great selection of wines for the size of the store.
