I have worked here and love the new owners, especially Barb! Great place for an authentic purchase and if you're an artist, they may showcase your work on commission. Also the store smells like lilacs and lavender everyday :)

I was born and raised in Michigan. I have spent much time on Mackinac. Unfortunately, the majority of the stores carry standard tourist fare: fake Indian souvenirs, stupid t-shirts and everything else you find in a tourist place. Lilacs and Lace holds all kinds of wonderful treasures. There are authentic Italian cameos, Anne of Green Gables merchandise, and estate jewelry. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to Mackinac, I buy my wife something from Lilacs and Lace. The owner, Jack, is a super-cool guy and very helpful.
