There's just something about getting warm cookies after you check in! Wonderful staff! I travel a lot for work. This was definitely a top hotel experience for me

Our family had a wonderful stay. We pulled in late at night and the staff checked us in quickly and the warm cookies were so welcoming, as were the staff. The pool is beautiful and the rooms were fabulous! We didn’t get our breakfast vouchers when we checked in & didn’t realize how the breakfast process works until after we paid but when I inquired at the front desk, Kanesha was so incredibly helpful! She got everything fixed and was so pleasant! Every hotel front desk needs someone as caring and helpful as Kanesha! This is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff! We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for a Wisconsin game. Awesome location! Able to walk to everything on campus and everything downtown. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating, but what really puts this place over the top is the bar and grill. The bar is fantastic. Aaron's craft cocktails were outstandingespecially the "Giddy Up"a real flavor sensation! **My only complaint is why no more Seinfeld related drink names?!..You could take it to 6 Stars!!** Hope to be back!!

We've stayed in some very nice places over the years but we've never experienced anything like the Doubletree in Madison. The staff wasn't just friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was almost like staying with favorite relatives. Especially the desk staff and the breakfast staff. Just really nice people.
The hotel itself is perfectly located for visiting Madison. Just a few blocks from Capitol Square and the Farmers Market and shopping. An easy walk to campus and a very doable walk to Camp Randall. We're in our 70's and had no trouble getting around. For those who'd rather not walk there are shuttle vans.
Our room was nice and it was clean. Parking was very convenient. The breakfasts were excellent. We definitely would stay at the Doubletree again.response / report this review -

We had a really nice "mini-vacation" in Madison thanks to this Double Tree location. We live in Wisconsin but have never really experienced Madison. My favorite and unexpected part about our stay at the Double Tree was the free shuttle service; all day there was a shuttle that would drive us to or pick us up from any location within a two mile radius. We did a lot of walking but we did use the shuttle service about three times throughout the weekend. The drivers and front desk staff were extremely kind - especially when it came to use of the shuttle. They seemed eager to drive us, rather than burdened. It was especially helpful on Saturday morning when it was raining. Even without the shuttle, everything we wanted to do was within a decent walking range for us. I also highly recommend the restaurant within this hotel - really great food, drinks and service. It was really lowkey the night we were there we ate around 8 PM and it was easier to eat at the hotel rather than finding a place to walk/shuttle to after a long day of exploring. Will likely stay here again. Thank you!
