Not just the beef jerky is good eating! if you have an event that needs catered I more then highly recommend Gabe's market for the job! Incredibly professional, fresh food, lots of flavour and you can taste the extra care that goes into each dish.

The smoked lake trout was wonderful!! The staff was very friendly, and asked us if we wanted to sample the fish before we bought it. I have to say, we went to Fish Town's Carlson's for fish after going to Gabe's. The staff was rude, and the fish was pure salt! Even the salmon pate was super salty. We will be going to Gabe's again.

The beef jerky is, to date, the best beef jerky I've ever eaten. And I've eaten a lot of jerky. Same goes for the hot dogs. They do really nice prime rib roasts and hams as well.

In my opinion the best jerky you can buy. I have been buying their original jerky for over 30 years, since can not find any better, and just ordered 4 pounds for the holidays. I always buy out of the case since not as keen on the shrink wrapped jerky it seems like the packaging process changes the taste. Always get it when I visit Traverse City but order it when the urge arrises.

This is the first time I ordered online in November 2014: one pound of hunter sticks and one pound of Teriyaki Beef Jerky: Delivered very fast and actually received closer to 2 1/4 pounds total. Great deal!! The price seems expensive per pound, but compare pound per pound price of slim jims or Jack Links beef jerky and it is actually less expensive and FAR SUPERIOR!! This is simply the best jerky and sausage sticks that money can buy! Do not let the price or the minimum purchase of one pound deter you. You will eat them and love them and NOT regret the purchase.
We have visited both the main Gabe's in Maple City, and most often the small store on M72 and have had nothing but the best smoked meats, sausages, hot dogs and pickled bologna.
