Animal Kingdom has grown since I was last there as a teenager. There are more rides and even more areas to explore. With the temperature in Florida staying over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the paths were well shades by trees and therefore this park was one of the most enjoyable visits to Disney World from a comfort standpoint. The rides we went on were so much fun and the food was delicious. I'm so grateful that there are so many dairy-free options available since we have allergies to it in my family.
I always have a truly great visit at this park. I love to go on the safari and see all the different animals. Everest is a great coaster. Pandora experience with the flight of passage ride is amazing. Although they have eased restrictions in regards to spacing out guests meaning you will no longer have an empty space next to you when riding this ride. You must make a special request before you get on the ride which is truly insane to me.
Overall I love animal kingdom.
I visited the park for the first time on Christmas Day of this year. What a wonderful park. We had a wonderful time except for one snag. My mobility scooter's battery died half way through the line to Avatar Flight of Passage. When we got to the front of the line, we were immediately pulled out of line and the scooter was taken by an attendant. When we got off of the ride, the scooter was plugged in and waiting for me and a supervisor was called. She arranged for a wheelchair for me and had an attendant push the scooter the entire way back to the beginning of the park! I was accommodated with a complimentary scooter, since they didn't want me to have to pay for the broken one and the Disney one. Every single person that was involved with my little issue was beyond compassionate, helpful and understanding. The employees at Animal Kingdom do the Walt Disney company proud. I am so grateful for them and their help. They showed the true meaning of Christmas.
This is a great park, and that's coming from a Senior Wilderness Explorer! The rides are fun, most notably the Expedition Everest ride. Even the Safari "ride" is great! So many cool animals roaming to see. We easily hot two full days out of this when we decided to complete the Wilderness Explorer badge collection. The park theme in Asia is really well done too!
Animal Kingdom was beautiful looking. Everything was nice for the most part, but I wish there had been more animals to see and it was a bit hard to find a lot of them. Also a lot of the restaurants required reservations, so if you didn't have one you either had to try to find a table in some shade or eat in the hot sun. The safari ride was probably my favorite ride. I wish there had been more rides. Overall pretty great experience, though.
Amazing. So much to do and see. Countries in Africa and Asia with food and culture to accompany them. The entire park is like a safari and very easy to navigate. Employees are very very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The Safari ride was full of animal sightings, Pandora was gorgeous especially at night and the Flights of Passage is now the best ride (virtual reality) I've ever been on. We stayed at the lodge on premise and everything stated above applies to the lodging. I would come back here in a heartbeat.
We've been here before and have really enjoyed it. The animals are always great to see and the safari and other rides are fun. The downside was our luck for ride-choosing. Dinosaur went down just as we filed in line. The safari was put on hold due to animals being in the way (totally understand that one). It's impossible for now to get a fast pass for the Avatar rides, which are 2+ hrs long. Animal Kingdom is definitely tied for my favorite Disney park, but the only really nice time to go is early fall before the crowds start for the holiday. All in all, an enjoyable trip with yummy food all around a good mix between zoo and theme park.
Saw " It's a Bug's Life Show" and the " Lion King Show" which we're both very entertaining. Lines were too long for the Avatar attractions (several hours wait time and no fast passes available), but at least we we're able to walk around and check out the newer area. We took the Safari ride which was enjoyable- saw most of the animals out and very active as it was nearing 6:00 pm and getting dark. It was great for animal watching- not for photos. Earlier in day might be better if you're more into getting pix. Also had the chance to watch the Tree of Life come to life with a special effects light show.
The park is beautiful. Great shopping opportunities and dining spots are spread throughout the park. Table seating will be an issue in this park as will restroom availability. These issues become quite annoying since this park is usually quite crowded. The rides are all modern and very entertaining. Festival of The Lion King is an amazing short show that should not be missed by any Park Visitor. The animal exhibits tucked throughout the park are absolutely amazing and a great way to wander off with the family away from the crowds and have some educational experiences that you'll be hard-pressed to have it any other theme park. Pack your patience here. This place is definitely worthwhile, but understand it is quite popular.
Magically fantastic place. It's Disney World how can you go wrong. Park was pristine and staff was top notch. You can walk up to any cast member and they will help you with a smile and if they don't know they can find someone. We lost car keys once and they were able to find them. Very pricey but it's a vacation resort not somewhere you go daily. There are water fountains everywhere and if you walk into any restaurant and ask for a cup of water they will give it to you free of charge. This is also one of the few park resorts that allows you to bring your own foodthis also includes water so you don't need the free refill pass.
I had an amazing visit to Animal Kingdom to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. The cast members and all else who work there were great and many wished me a happy birthday. My favorite part of the day was riding Avatar Flight Of Passage. The 160 minute wait was definitely worth it. Disney never fails to amaze me. I cannot wait to come back soon!
Could not get on any rides. 2 hour wait for every ride or more. Fast pass had to be booked for weeks ahead for major rides which was not disclosed on any Disney site. My daughter was very upset. We were there for only 1.5 hours and this was off season. It was like throwing away 250 dollars on tickets and more for transportation. Some how Universal gets it right but Disney can't. Very disappointed. :(
This park never disappoints! So much to see and experience, so much for kids to learn about here! Each area of the park focuses on a different climate when it comes to animals, and there's no lack of great experiences to have here! The addition of Pandora was definitely exciting. Only 2 rides in this section, but the whole section makes you feel as if you are in the movie. Both rides are worth the wait, however, Flight of Passage was definitely an unforgettable experience! Make sure to check out the food in this area too, as it is definitely unique. As for the rest of this park, there are plenty of shows, rides, and things to see along the way. The safari is great, weather you check it out during the day or at night, both totally different experiences!
Although I love Disney World and Universal Studios, this is the most underwhelming of the parks, with the new world of Pandora being the main attractionyet the Navi boat ride couldn't have been more boring! The outdoor views of the recreated world as pretty awesome, but the ride was too geared towards childrenobviously the kids enjoyed it though! Animal Kingdom is more of a glorified zoo with only a few rides older children and adults will truly enjoylots of young kid fun. Some of the food near Pandora was actually really tasty and not absurdly priced. The Everest Expedition roller coaster was the most fun we had here all day
Checked off my list and will return to Island's of Adventure from now onuntil I have children of my own that may enjoy the simple pleasures of such parks. Thanks!
Best,
~S
This park has come a long way. It was definitely the worse of all four parks. As a child, I remembered how boring this park was. It had hardly anything to do. I visited the park a couple of time after that, and it was still boring but improving. Now, the park has made a life like avatar and a roller coaster that travels backwards briefly. They, also, added a night light show which is a hide improvement. I would suggest the park to others to visit. However, it stills need a few more rides
This park is vastly underrated by most. It is called the Animal Kingdom and the animals are outside! Most people do not care for this park because it does not have a lot of air conditioned areas to cool off. Our favorite part of this park is the Kilimanjaro Safari ride where you get to see several animals found in the wild of Africa and Asia. We also love to ride the Expedition Everest ride because it is so fun and unexpected. HINT: Get in the single rider line for a quicker ride! Of course the Kali River Rapids are fun and provide a nice cool off during hot days. Children and adults can learn a lot in this park and it should be treated as a learning experience! Finish your day with the Rivers of Light show. Recently added was the World of Pandora based off of the movie Avatar. This place is a great new section of the park and you have to visit during the day and come back at night.
Best park at Disney World. The whole vibe is awesome through out the park. Pandora is fantastic! It's a new addition and sometimes kinks have to be worked out on rides. Do not listen to the recent negative reviews. Some people just need to stay home. It's summer time and Disney parks will be packed. Popular rides will always have a wait unless you go right at opening or have fast pass for the rides. Tree of Life is beautiful. The River of Lights night show in the Asia world is beautiful. Just a well thought out wonderful park.
Don't read the poor reviews. They come from selfish, entitled people that act like they've paid more than everyone else to be here.
Animal Kingdom has slowly become my most favorite park at Disney World. The opening of Pandora has cemented that for sure. Yes, the lines are long to get in and do the rides. That's expected. Calm yourselves.
Ride wise, Everest and Flight of Passage are two of the best rides that Disney World has to offer. Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, etc are great as well. There's plenty to keep everyone entertained.
The stage shows from Festival of the Lion King to Finding Nemo are wonderful as well and the songs will get stuck in your head all day!
The quick serve locations for food are some of the best that Disney World has to offer.
Walking around and seeing the animals is magical, its a truly great park.
So So disappointed!!!! Arrived early due to long wait times for Avatar - Waited in line for over 1 hour and then problems. Ride was shut down and we exited to back parking lot of building. No explanations just exit the building. Avatar was the main attraction and reason for visiting Animal Kingdom. I understand problems but the staff did not offer fast passes for riding after repairs. Stayed in the park for over 7 hours and the ride was never available for the entire visit. Why can't accommodations be offered for return visit if nothing but to ride the MAIN ride of park?
This park was AWESOME. It had some really cool animals, the Safari was amazing (you're in the habitat with the animals!), and the shows were really cool--WAY better than Magic Kingdom. The actors really sang and performed, and Nemo's Musical was the first time I liked that movie. This park is definitely worth seeing. The reason I didn't give it 5/5 is because of the cost. It is a small park and more like a glorified, really fancy zoo, but definitely worth going to. DON'T go to Magic Kingdom.
