Beware Blue #8 and the right hole. It was eeating balls like it was the last hole. Happened to us probably 7 times. Each time dropping a ball down to knock the other loose before finally taking 2. And there's a brick missing right in front of hole so if you don't catch it, aren't lucky, or aren't paying attention, your ball could make its way down the hill 2 paths down near the parking lot. Told the attendant and he said he'd have someone look at it. Didn't offer me 2 other balls to replace those lost. It worked out sharing our other ones until Hole 18 where they're gone for good. All that aside, really enjoyed our evening there and the kids had a good time. I'd recommend if you're in town looking for something to do. We've often done The Track in years passed but I'd say they're probably pretty comparable. Foooooore!!!!🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳

As locals we visit every year and have had annual passes. Sometimes it's just too packed and feel that they should limit occupancy. Also wish there were more healthy food options and lower prices on junk food :)

This is our first year going to Big Kahuna's Water Park. It's not the biggest, nor the best I've ever been to, but it is good. There is a good variation of slides, tube rides, and two separate lazy rivers. See the website for more info. Sure, food is outrageous - where is it not at a theme park generally? We found the staff to be courteous and helpful. The 'season' has yet to start and it will become more crowded, but having our platinum passes with free parking and something we can go and do any day of the season is great.

Amazing staff. They are always friendly, and keep the apartments maintained and safe. Great apartments. Pool is beautiful and much more comfortable than any other apts I've seen. Dog friendly people and staff. Residents are super friendly.

I've seen people posting negative comments because of all the walking, junk food, and some things are not fun for adults. Remember, this place is geared towards the little ones. But I, for one, had a great experience. The only bad things were that in Thunder River I constantly got stuck and only one lifeguard was helping people. The other thing is overpriced food. You really can't afford it on top of the parking admission and tickets, but I suppose this is a tourist attraction. Overall, it is worth a season pass and provides fun for both tourists and locals. For the people who prefer to stay dry, they have golfing and some adventure park rides. I had a great time and will go again this summer!

Nice water park. Crowded but fun. One person serving drinks was absolutely rude. She appeared and acted that she would much rather be somewhere else. She intentionally spoke and shaped her mannerisms so that a very apparent passive aggressive behavior was present. She moved so slowly that the her co-workers were able to make 2 drinks to her one. We actually left soon after. The park, however, was pretty decent, hence the 2 stars.

Awesome water park for the family. Perfect for little kids!! This place is very overpriced!!! But it's what is expected when your in a tourist destination. The cabana rentals are worth it if you have less the 6 people they say up to 10. but that's if you wanna be cramed in their! It's a very small area for 135$! in the summer theirs no finding a seat so you definitely want a cabana! They have lockers that are very overpriced and super small for all your belongings! Overall it's a nice place to take the kids for the day.but just expect to spend a nice penny in their!!

Yes the park is a bit run down and the employees could be friendlier. But the tickets are very affordable and the upkeep of a park that size is probably not easy. Also most employees are teenagers and they can be moody. We get season passes every year and enjoy every trip we make there.

It was our first time visiting the water park and I gotta say it is definitely family friendly. My girls are 8 and 2 and they absolutely loved it. The only negatives were the accessibility for strollers. Ramps were very limited and we had to carry the stroller going up and down the stairs. The restrooms were also very dirty. I know it's a water park but I think they could've had someone in charge to look after all the water in there and the toilet paper everywhere. Other than that it was great.

We have season passes(4) very reasonable pricing, family oriented, life guards along with Lead guards are very helpful in all situations. My son got sunscreen in his eyes, they took him into the first-aid room, washed his eyes out with little cups, he was ready to swim in just a few minutes! My older son, loves to do the Half Pipe, surfing, after the park closes at 6, 630 the gates open, you pay $10, until 9, and surf all you want! He gets great practice time. We never experienced long lines, but we mostly go during the week days, sometimes we go on a Saturday, it can more crowded, but never top crowded! Have fun and Enjoy

To start off the ground that they have put around the park gets extremely hot on your feet especially the little ones, So that should be fixed ASAP, easy solution is to put misters spraying the ground easy fix, the money they make they should use it to clean it really good on the off season before opening the doors, new paint job every year would bring in more money and make it look fresh and inviting to me the costumer etc etc, also more jets in the main lazy River so people don't get stuck would be nice. Fix all water stuff around park that is not working while the other half is, just makes it look run down in some places, They also have to open all rides, even if they consider themselves not busy enough to help lines move quickly, we stood in line for 20min to find out they only opened up one side of the ride at 12:30 in the afternoon, crazy, other than that I would recommend this water park to anyone in the area, it's a safe and friendly place to take your family, plenty of life guards on duty which was a plus.

I don't normally post reviews, but after reading many negative reviews for Big Kahunas, I thought I would share my family's experience. This is our first summer living in Destin and we have been to Big Kahunas twice now. I can only say positive things about this water park. Our children had so much fun, they always want to go back again. I was skeptical about getting season passes the first time we came, just in-case the park was a disaster, but now I wish I had bought them when they were on sale at the beginning of the season. The park is very well kept - and there are always people working to clean up after guests in the dining areas . . . like spilled ketchup, etc. There are lifeguards everywhere and they take their job seriously. In other words, I can tell that they are really watching the people around them to ensure safety. I've read many negative reviews about the food . . . and I can tell you that we have only had the cheeseburgers and fries, (and of course dip-n-dots), but our food was great! I am not expecting gourmet food at a water park! Thank you Big Kahunas for providing our family with some water fun.

Fantastic day at Big Kahuna's just like always. Wonderful courteous staff. Fun slides and a great lazy river. The food isn't half bad either. We always get the season pass even if we're there for a day because it's such a great deal.

This water park has been around for a while. My mother took me here as a kid. I just took my nephew here. There are a lot of slides, two lazy Rivers (one with a wave machine) and a couple of general swimming areas. Be prepared as tickets are not cheap, and you will have to pay for parking on top of the tickets. There is no outside food or drink allowed into the park, but there are picnic tables located in the parking lot of you decide to pack a picnic lunch. There are lockers for rent ($11 a day I think). You use a credit card to rent the locker, and program a code. You can enter and exit the locker as much as you like at no extra charge. There are plenty of areas for sun bathing or shade throughout the park. The are food options in the park, but I didn't try anything there. There are a lot of life guards, and the staff was generally friendly. If you are just going to watch your kids have a good time, there is a dry ticket option that isn't advertised. They will charge you full price on the way in, and refund $15 when you leave if you are dry. There is something for all ages from toddler to adult here. My nephew had a blast, and so did I.
