  I don’t have any relatives or loved ones living here but I just felt compelled to write a google review….So I live across the street in an apartment complex and see an ambulance come there almost EVERY SINGLE DAY…and sometimes MORE THAN TWICE IN A NIGHT. This will be at the independent and/or the assisted/memory care center. An ambulance just entered there and is rushing away with its sirens ringing as I’m writing this. Coming from a medical professional the amount of times an ambulance and fire truck come rushing in this place is appalling . As a medical professional who works in a hospital I’ve seen more ambulances at this place than the own hospital I currently am employed at. Not sure if it’s people falling, chest pain, what have you. But something needs to be investigated. I know people call 911 for serious medical attention and I mean that seriously. But this place is turning more into a nuisance than a positive place.

  As a community partner working in senior living in Jacksonville, I enjoy referring Discovery Village at Deerwood Assisted Living & Memory Support. Having a resource and team I trust recommending to families allows our greater Jacksonville community to have multiple options that meets their personal needs.

  Sondra Sharp did an amazing job preparing me and my mother for the move to memory care. Discovery Village is a great neighborhood and Sondra could not have done a more complete and better job to guide us through this hard time. Thank you to her and the staff.

  I had the pleasure of attending the fun “Shamrocked” event yesterday and was very impressed! It’s so important our loved ones have a joyful social life as well as top quality physical & mental care! I was invited out by Sondra, so naturally I sought her out upon arrival. She kindly provided an informative tour of your lovely clean community. I must say Sondra’s passion & enthusiasm for excellent elderly care is clear; which I’m sure comes from her first hand knowledge with her own mother. It’s so nice to talk with someone who can really relate! I will definitely consider this community when the time comes and will refer to my family & friends to Sondra as well!

  We really enjoyed the tour of Discovery Village at Deerwood. Sondra Sharpe was so nice, allowed us to take our time, and answered all our questions. A couple of days later, they hosted my mother and sister for lunch and a tour for my mother. Mom said the food was good and everyone there was very friendly.
