It is a timeshare that you can rent. It is a good deal if you need multiple bedrooms. As with any timeshare, you can expect full kitchen with plates and glasses, nice pool, and gym. There is even a bar. But, unlike hotels, do not expect everyday service - replenishing coffee, soap, garbage bin cleaning, etc does not happen often. It did not happen during our 3 day stay.
Excellent location a few blocks from the strip. New remodel. Rooms look great. Warning Their "gift shop" only takes cash. Had to go to ATM .
Recently remodeled. This is a condominium, not a hotel room. You get a kitchen and bedroom(s). There is a small pool on site and there is now a small bar in the lobby. No on site gambling.
Short walk to the Tropicana at the south end of the strip. Shorter walk to the Hooter's casino.
Free parking for guests.
You do not hear airline traffic from the resort, but evening helicopter runs would be heard anywhere on the strip.
There is an on site concierge, but they will encourage you to sit in on a time share presentation. Take at your own risk.
It's good. Price is reasonable. However be warned, it isn't great. Many of the rooms have bathrooms and other features seriously showing their age. If you can have a sense of humour about that then it is good. Well located and with friendly staff trying hard. It just needs a bunch of reinvestment.
Located at 10 mins walk from the strip, at the southern end. Free parking, comfortable and clean apartment, full kitchen with a coffee machine and complementary coffee supplies, check-in/out was a breeze, the staff was courteous and professional. Overall the stay was pleasant. The only complaint is that during the day, the room was bright even after the curtains, so I had difficulty taking a nap after a long drive. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. I will definitely recommend this place and will likely be staying their again.
The updated rooms are great and housekeeping had been amazing. The AC unit is a little loud but it keeps it super cool if you set it that way. Overall I've enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to friends.
I think the AC in the rooms needs an upgrade. We were here during the hot part of the summer and had a hard time controlling the temperature in the room. Especially the master bedroom, it was way warmer than the rest of the rooms. It would have been nice to have laundry in the rooms instead of public laundry. There was a hall closet in all of the rooms that has ample room for a set of machines. This was the first resort I've been to that didn't have laundry in each room
Desert Rose Resort provided fast, reliable and friendly service from check in to check out. The rooms have been recently renovated and prove to be clean, spacious and had all the amenities we need plus more! We got a fantastic deal and definitely felt we got our monies worth. It is a great place to say just off the Las Vegas strip if you're not into being amongst the craziness and want somewhere both relaxing and quiet to go back to! I have seen mention of no room service which is true (this could be available upon request) but we stayed for 3 days and this seemed to be okay for us.
At check out I also desperately needed to print some important documents and the receptionist happily showed me to the computer room - I was very impressed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it - we would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite. The room was newly remodeled, and the resort was modern. The pool and hot tub were nice, not over crowded, and cleaned nicely. The problem was our furnace was plumbed into the kitchen sink and made an awful gurgling noise constantly. The master bedroom bathroom shower faucet didnt work properly and was caked with hard water scale. They also did not clean the room, make beds, or bring clean towels. It also took me hours on the phone with their tech support to get the internet connected to some of our devices. Also when we first arrived they invited us to come take a tour of the Wyndham Resort timeshare property. This was fine because we were possibly interested in a timeshare. After parking and while moving our stuff to the room the welcome packet lady came down and said that they didn't have room for us in the tour. I considered this very rude and because of that will not be staying at ANY other Wyndham hotels or resorts.
We have been before when they had a buffet breakfast but no longer. Reception had been revamped with a small bar area and fire pits. Our room had not yet been renovated and as the ground floor of our block had the workmen in it so it was dusty and noisy and the balcony was useless. We had 3 phone calls inviting us to free meals and offering us Giftcards but we avoided this as it was apparently a hard sell for Shell Vacations. We stopped answering the phone. The apartments are self catering and have a super fridge and cooker with coffee machine but no kettle. Outraged! Asked for one but not available. If you're visiting make sure your room has been renovated and ask for a balcony that does not overlook the interior courtyard as you are overlooked by other rooms and have no view.
I LOVED this hotel. I stayed in a condo so just like a 1 bedroom apt. It had a fully stocked kitchen; pots, pans, blender, baking utensils, etc. I also loved how it was just off the strip behind hooters, across from the MGM. It was quiet and a nice break from the strip. A perfect walk to enjoy the evening weather before heading to the next party. The pool area could be a little bigger, but it was still great and I came home with a nice tan. The one thing that was a little strange was the A.M. chef. Or cook rather My boyfriend and I stayed out all night and were starving at 7am, so we went down to get breakfast. We ordered 2 basic breakfasts and at 7:10 the cook comes out and apologizes that he just got to work and it would be a few minutes. At 7:40 we finally got our food, but not the hash browns He said if we wanted them he could have them made Of course I wanted them, but we were so exhausted we didn't want to wait. It was unprofessional. Anyways, I will definitely stay at this hotel again and make sure to stock my own kitchen with food so I don't have to deal with that guy again.
We four stayed for two nights first time as it was reasonably priced despite few negative comments. But we found that the comments were wrong as the staff were very Friendly extended Great Service to make our stay very Comfortable & the property is Well Located to access the strip quickly by walk. It is also Very calm, quiet & neat place. We strongly recommend this place for anyone who would like to have a memorable stay. Our room has a well furnished kitchen with coffee maker, blender, etc., a Living room, king bed room with attached bath and a queen bed room with common bath and all have TV. It also has a sofa bed & dinning table. Free wifi, parking & elevator are also available.
The hotel is located about 10 minutes of walking from the Strip. Great apartments with full size kitchen. Clean and with a king size bed.
Some of the rooms are located next to a busy street.
The wifi didn't work properly in the room, the staff was friendly and tried to help us out.
I recommend the hotel, good for families and couples looking for both the Las Vegas experience and a good night's sleep.
