Needs lots of improving. Need new ownership. Beach is hit or miss . Someday nobody's working beach. Lots of internal problems. Too many places cheaper that are nicer
We go here every year. We stay at the cabins that are pet friendly. Very enjoyable. Clean and nice amenities
Nice environment for the family but the "resort" is tired, worn, and the management seems to be in the mode of just getting by: broken door locks, dirty air conditioners, fallen gutters, rotting railings, etc. There's some nice staff and the views are gorgeous but I was left wondering how awesome the place must have been 20 years ago when there was a vision of becoming great. Thumbs up for the availability of a couple of kayaks and peddle boats for the kids and the small beach for the young ones. Lake George is a great place for the family and we enjoyed the area so we'll find another place next year.
From the time we got here it was a disaster. Fridge broke, smaller beds than promised and a completely different view than promised. Our personal jetski was also damaged due to negligence on the resorts part. When looking for help, we were met with extremely rude staff who yelled in our faces. Also, if you're looking to speak with the owner it won't happen because he is sick and everyone refuses to contact him. We weren't the only one with issues especially when it came to the docks. Don't come here!!!!
Depends Dene perfectly accommodates large groups of all ages. Different cabins of varying sizes surround a small field where kids (and big kids) can play games. The lake front has a beach and dock for boating and swimming. It's a 10 minute drive to Lake George Village and Bolton Landing and one can drive a little further for many other attractions. You won't find any bells or whistles at this resort motel, but that's fine by us!
Booked a weekend trip with 15 people who all had an incredible experience. Some of us have been to the lake many times, some a few, and some for the first time. Awesome lakefront and friendly staff. Would absolutely stay again.
This cute resort is right on the water! Great views and location. The town house we went in was older, with paneling. But you spend most of your time outdoors. It's nice to have towel service and ice right there!
They just Upgraded the place .
I will not state on other please
On the lake. I give them ( A+ )
One of the worst resorts we have stayed in. We were travelling with another family. On phone the resort folks said that there are two bathrooms but there was only one. When we reached the resort on a rainy day - we found out their refrigerator was not working. They had to replace the refrigerator. Then the stove was not working and we had to cook in another room since the kids were really hungry. The next day there was no hot water in the room. The floor is all broken and you could trip at any point in time. When we spoke to the manager - he said they would rebate us for one days of stay and asked us to settle at the checkout. At the time of the checkout that entire conversation was lost as if they did not remember what they promised and they refused to credit us for one night. Bottomline - stay out of trouble.
The swimming pool - whirpool had all dirty water with people smoking in their pool. They don't really care what the guests do in the pool. It is simply disgusting.
I was there for memorial weekend
i had an amazing time there i recommend it to anyone
Chris at the front desk was very helpful and the price was good,i will go back soon.
Stayed for a weekend and had a blast! Went before typical season starts and had the place to ourselves, but keep in mind a lot of business aren't opened at this time. It will however give you a greater appreciation for the natural beauty of Lake George! Definitely worth the price (and drive)!
