Don't waste your time!! Dr. Mechtler is a pompous, arrogant person, who doesn't listen, and obviously has the God complex! Wanted "proof" of a rare illness I have. I could give him 700 pages of medical records of proof, and have had 4 surgeries for this illness!! Did he even bother to read the forms that I took great effort filling out with every detail? At one point, he just got up and left his office, with me sitting there having 15 medical students staring at me. I felt humiliated, degraded, and completely unheard. I drove 8 hours round trip, paid for a hotel room, as well as food expenses, only for him to treat me like I have zero education, and have him refuse to treat me because I'm too far away. And then he argued with me, when I politely told him that the local neurologists won't take my case because it's too complex, and advised I see him!! TOTAL AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!!

I cannot say enough good about DENT and their staff. My daughter went for migraines. She had a CT scan and MRI with other imaging and when I sat down to consult I knew that she was in good hands. No stone that hadn't been overturned. An entire process went into place assigning a medical nurse my daughter could contact on a personal line with any medicinal questions/concerns. We also had Dr. Mechtler's assistant work with us for nearly a year and several visits. We were assigned an excellent Dent chiropractor and an excellent TEAM of people. Much care and investigating was put into her treatment. After a year and closely supervised treatment we were able to consult with Dr Mechtler, himself. People travel worldwide to seek this level care. Yes, you have to come with co-pay in hand (can you blame them?), yes you must be insured and bring cashit's not an emergency roomit's scheduled visits so you must be prepared. They remind you repeatedly of this. It's no surprise. It's not a charity. It's high level care and it IS worth it!!! I'd budget anything for my family to receive this level care. Yes, my daughters level 10 year long migraine is been remedied. THANK YOU DENT for your part!

I have the utmost respect for Dr Laszlo Mechtler. He is a very kind and knowledgeable man and Doctor. I feel I am lucky to have him as my neurologist. Thankfully he stood by me and encouraged me to not give up on my medical progress, when other Doctors said " this is as good as it gets ". I don't know where I'd be had we not crossed paths!

I was discharged from the practice because I complained about a nurse practitioner violating HEPA laws and giving out information about me that she had no permission to give out which cause me to lose my job as a driver at UPS.

NYS law needs clarification regarding patient referrals to medical marijuana providers. My partner suffered TBI while serving and was left with multiple neurologic conditions including seizures. We cannot get a referral from the VA to an outside physician for medical marijuana(understandably due to federal regulations) and have been turned away from providers at the DENT institute even after offering to have records sent because we do not have a provider that will fill out their medical marijuana consult. After I requested that we just schedule an appointment with a neurologist for a second opinion on his medication management (without regard to pursuing mj) and continue a medical relationship from there, the receptionist refused to schedule an appointment because I had initially been up front about our interest in pursuing medical marijuana. won't be going back. He is always accusing me of depression and sent me on my way with crazy pills for bi polar and I only have migraines. He is arrogant and is always accusing me of anorexia and I suffer from Graves' Disease. He is very very close minded.
