Incredibly friendly a staff that is both professional and caring.
Best care Institute ever always taking care of their patients
If possible I would absolutely give a score of ZERO! The Doctor was the most unprofessional doctor I've ever visited in my life. No real examination. Since I wasn't interested in prescription pills I was told by the doctor that he was done with me. I literally felt pressure to either take prescription pills or get out. He barely touched me and proceeded to tell me that "I have no real paina low threshold for pain and that is due to the fact the my Father used drugs 40 years ago. I've never been so offended. Again, this "Dr." never truly examined me and has no MRI's or scans of mine. Completely unfounded opinions. My Father has been the best example of clean living my entire life and for this Doctor to try to use that as his prognosis is rude and dangerous. The doctor showed no class referring to this and almost seemed to be trying to be offensive. It took everything not to lay into this unprofessional pompous little man. Then as he's leaving the exam room the doctor is still talking about my lawfully private visit in a loud manner in an open area. Literally the most unprofessional practice I've ever experienced. Just talking about my private visit out loud to people. HIPAA violation. I have had surgery and have been seeing doctors for years for my headache and neck and back pain. I work and I am active. I workout with a personal trainer 4 days a week. I ride my bike and take long walks almost everyday. Always with pain. I was in NO WAY looking for any handouts. All I am looking for is wellness. Body and mind. He offered me neither. What he did offer were more prescription pills which I told him I had no interest in because of my preference for a natural remedy. I would tell all patients to steer clear of DENT and it's insensitive intolerable and offensive practitioner. I have no interest in their habit forming dangerous pills. Now I will try to find a more tolerable office that may help me figure out why my chronic pain is spreading to my legs and I am starting to have trouble moving around.
They get me in and out quickly! Great people!
Staff is very nice, also very clean inside. I have gone maybe 6 times and each time I had over a 2 hour wait no matter what time my appointment was. You see staff just eating and talking as you walk through. Way too long of waits.
Eight years of medical school to tell a patient the pain they feel must be in thier head because it's not obvious to her. "Dr. HER" I'll call her, is a cold hearted lazy pathetic excuse of a Dr. If you're scared, in pain, confused, and embarrassed then this place will make you you feel even worse. I'm ashamed this doctor practices in the same city I live in. I'm ashame for her because she obviously doesn't have a soul herself to feel empathy.
Dr. always addressed my problems and concerns professionally. They also took time to explain things. Always felt less fearful and more understood.
The providers are good, but they seem to rely on medication more than alternative treatments. Dr. calls are not returned quickly. The secretaries need to be more discreet when asking for your name & personal information. ALSO; It would be advantageous if they had an office that was quiet with dim lighting where patients with migraines could feel comfortable. Where the staff would be more accommodating and sensitive to patients who come in with this condition. " a quiet zone".
First off, I enjoy being a patient at DENT and would gladly change this rating to a 5 if someone would call me back and improve response time. They have helped me with anxiety and headaches over the last 7 years. At this point and time however, I am completely fed up. I've been trying to get a hold of them for almost two weeks now (regarding a sleep study I had earlier this month). I've left 4 messages with some Elaine lady in Dr. Capote's group and have had no luck getting the answers I need. Absolutely ridiculous! I could not imagine having an elderly or ailing parent/family member and waiting and waiting and waiting. How unprofessional can one be to let calls go unanswered?! This is regarding the need for a CPAP machine. I BARELY sleep and when I do, it's brief and the quality is horrible. I've been panicking excessively due to lack of sleep and oxygen. You would think a professional office would be a little more prompt about helping their patients. After 7 years, they finally determined that my anxiety COULD be linked to my poor oxygen levels while I sleep. Why this testing wasn't done years ago is a whole different story. Just please improve your service. I couldn't dream of switching to another practice because I trust you all at DENT. So PLEASE, help us out when we call and call us back and show ME why you are all in the field you're in.
I was seeking treatment for headaches here. My first appointment took a long time but I was willing to wait because I was out of my mind with migraine pain. My follow up appointment was scheduled to be the first of the day at 8am. I waited in a room for almost an hour. No one came to explain why I hadn't been seen yet despite being the first patient.
Fed up with waiting, I walked up front and stated my intent to leave and politely asked the receptionist to refund my co-pay. They gave me a receipt saying it was cancelled but the charges were never reversed. Their clinical care coordinator, Greg, followed up with me the next day to apologize and agreed that my wait time was unacceptable. The doctor I was scheduled to see was a fellow and he blamed it on her lack of professionalism.
I did see another Physician Assistant the next week without incident. However, when I scheduled trigger point injections two weeks later I experienced another disappointing appointment. I waited in the room for 45 minutes again without any explanation. I was scheduled with a different provider that time.
Based on my experiences I concluded that the providers at the headache center would not respect me as a patient with schedules of my own to keep. They even didn't care enough to send a medical assistant into my room to let me know they were running late. I cancelled my future appointments and decided it was better to be in pain then wait for an overbooked Physician Assistant that didn't care.
I would not recommend the headache center at Dent Neurologic Institute to anyone.
