This is a classic hotel in downtown Leadville. We loved the period rooms, with historic decorations. It seemed like stepping back in time. The service is very good and the rooms are very comfortable, with all the modern conveniences.
This isn't some modern done up historical hotel. You feel like you've traveled back in time. And yes, traveling done the hallways at night is creepy, but it's cool. Potential guests should know that there's no elevator and the elevation is 10000 ft before booking. So if your heart is good and you don't mind being a little winded once you get to the third floor, this place is a great overall experience.
Very lovely historic hotel! Enjoyed reading about the history in the lobby and visiting the mercantile. Staff was very friendly.
Bought a cute little shot glass. The staff is always welcoming, warm, and friendly. I always visit this place when I'm in Leadville
Historic building adorned with souvenirs and gift shop. Friendly staff. Stay here if you're looking for something different than your normal hotel.
Decent choice for Leadville. Room was clean front desk people were nice. Centrally located.
The hotel staff was amazingly friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay. It is a very old hotel and if you get a room on the third floor you've got a good climb ahead of you :-)
Fantastic hotel with fantastic people! Great shopping experience on the ground floor, and a gorgeous view of Leadville from the rooms. Being there is truly a fascinating and historical experience.
Warning - they overbooks , they put people who paid full price in front of the line , So for other people who got discount price thru a booking site , are out in the cold looking for a motel room. If you want modern room - stay with national chain
Was just passing through catching Pokemon. Placed looked nice though.
1.I think they should open the Restaurant have breakfast lunch and dinner 2. and too much stuff in the hallways and lobby fire danger.. 3.this hotel could be a lot nicer ..
My wife and I have stayed here during Boom Days in August a couple of times. We're staying again this year. We like the character of the building and all the antiques. It's right downtown, so we can walk around and not mess with parking and such. We've not experienced any ghost experiences yet. If you like historical places this is for you. If you are looking for perfect or cheap, go somewhere else.
