Great fun place to go boating. Weekdays are much better, as weekends are swamped. It can easily take you over an hour to launch the boat, and sometimes even longer to retrieve. The lake won't be under quarantine starting in 2018, which will make it even better retrieving the boat.

I stumbled upon this park on my way across the country during a road trip. They have a wonderful beach and in water inflatable activity gym. The cost was 10 $ for me for the day, but I could go to other parks in the area at no additional cost. I ended up staying till sunset, which was breath-takingly beautiful

It is a lake and not so much what you would consider a park. They do have rentals for boats and other things. It's a great place to go fishing that's why I go. I just wish it didn't cost so much to get into we're supposed to be State Park. But it's beautiful and can be serene.

Deer Creek Trail goes the length of the lake. 7.5 miles along the north shore. Access from the dam on the west or near Soldier Hollow Chalet on the east. It is a semi gravel trail that is plenty wide. Good for bikes, horses and foot. Leave your dog at home as they are not allowed. Mile markers let you know where you are at.

Have a boat or want to spend a nice day in the water or even play volleyball on the beach? Then here is the place to go! Also if your into fishing I see people catch fish whenever I come here. Late August is one of the best times to go because the water is very warm and refreshing. Went boating here last week and it was so much fun. Even with overcast and 62+ degree weather the water was warm enough, and we had a great time.

Absolutely gorgeous lake!! We went on a mild day which turned into a hot one and found taking the boat out was a great decision. Boating, wake surfing and wake boarding were all on the table and everyone else on the lake were very accommodating. There were jet ski's as well, which interfered with the wake, but it didn't affect the tubing too much. The temperature was perfect and the swimming was perfect. Wonderful place.

The current beaches at the island resort section of deer creek are a big improvement from years past (they could still be better if they were actual sand). Kids love to swim and kayak and paddle board here. Go early or on Sunday to beat the crowds.

Deer Creek Reservoir is so full of water this year! It was great because even though there were quite a few boats there, we weren't competing for space. The water is just glassy before 11am! I just forgot how expensive it is just to get in: $10 a car (up to 8 people) and they even charge for walk/bike ins, $5 each, so I recommend parking just down the road at Vivian Park and carpooling up. Pile in!

The lake itself is a good place to relax. Ample overnight camping sites. Fishing is usually successful. The wind is consistent to the point that sailboats and sailboards are nearly always seen tacking their way up and down the lake. The boat ramp at the state park is always crowded and slow. Old and small dock facilities with poor positioning make this all the more difficult to use. The privately owned zip lines east up the lake are a good option for entertainment. Even farther east is a resort with consessions and a floating water park and swimming area. Good place to have fun.

We went to go swimming and the roads were packed up to the gate with people waiting to bring their boats to the boat launch. At the swimming area it wasn't as crowded but the very small beach had many small boats and jet skis docked along the shore which crowded the water. The water quality wasn't great either.

Love the camp grounds, full hook ups... But they need to open two lanes to get in, one for current paid customers and the other for new day boaters. Other issue is getting ur boat out of the water can take over 2 hours if you wait till late at night.... There should be multiple loading / unloading locations at each end.

Great fishing expedition for my first trip to deer creek. We were fishing off a boat so naturally we caught plenty. Would love to see how I do shore fishing here.

I love this place! I go fishing here a lot. It's got lots of rainbow trout! My group caught five rainbow trout on one trip. Be sure to getting a variety of power bait to see what the fish like that day.
