Very nice rooms, comfortable beds. Front desk really friendly
Days Inn is very nice has good breakfast nice big rooms.they kept clean every day. They treat you very nice
I usually have a bad time with the wyndam line but this hotel made up for it in spades. The staff was great, the room was great for the price I paid, and everything was better than I expected. My room was a standard king bed room and for what I paid, $60 per night, I got not only the bed but a sleeper couch, fridge, microwave, a desk, and a very nice bathroom area. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet despite being next to the lobby. The place was clean and tidy. The housekeeping people were sweet as well. Everything about this place made me think that maybe not all wyndam hotels should be torn down. The only low spot was not enough variety in the breakfast. Then again, it free so.
So I traveled down her from Syracuse, NewYork by car so that was a 20 hour drive. I arrived at the hotel myself, my wife, my daughter and my mom. My mom was going to stay with her brother and sisters due to the passing of her sister in law. My mother blood sugar dropped very low while visiting with her family and I decided to bring her back to the hotel with me instead of leaving her at my uncles house. We had two double beds and my daughter is one so my mom could sleep with her it says the room sleeps four. The next morning I woke up took my daughter down for breakfast. I went to get a high chair it was stack on another one and as I pulled the high chair down I hit a potted plant. It fell over and the pot broke. The female desk clerk came out rolled her eyes and said it’s ok and walked away. So my wife, my mother came down then the female and the guy kept watching us and walking over to the plant. We felt very uncomfortable. We went back to the room I needed more towels so I went to the front desk to get some. Female desk clerk says you are only suppose to have 3 people with an attitude. I said ok feeling very embarrassed and I explain to her what happened with my mom again she rolled her eyes and walked away. She gave me one floor towel and three wash clothes. I went to Walmart and just bought towels instead. When we checked in our sheets had dirt on them and there is a musty smell in room and hallway. Holes in our wall in the room and the refigrator wasn’t clean and the microwave was dirty. We didn’t complain because I understand how it can be when your short staff. All and all I am disappointed due to them being upset I broke a potted plant it was an accident. After I broke the plant then they said we have to charge you $30 for your mom being in the room.
Circuit breakers cut off by owner (right outside our door),and when we investigated why this was done, we found the breakfast area torn up and wiring exposed on the Saturday night we stayed here. --then very quickly put back when we called the FD. This did not make for a sense of security and if this wasn't enough there was no security lock on our room door.. my husband got his personal drill out of the car and put on a security plate himself. We didn't get our work done nor sleep well to say the least. Aside from these alarming safety issues, the air conditioner was SUPER LOUD, the microwave didn't work right, and while the bathroom was clean, and the towels nice, the soap and shampoo were of the lowest quality, the shower curtain is way to close in; and worse yet, broken light fixture with exposed wiring and dangling socket right next to bed. One aspect of hospitality I consider quite essential is allowing guests to check into empty rooms a few hours early. This Days Inn demanded extra money for the privilege, which I find to be unconscionable. Hospitality. Hospitality is important in the hotel business, and this Days Inn is a great example of who ought NOT to be in this business.
Skip this place. You can do better for less in the Columbus area.
I would travel further away to stay in a different hotel if I'm ever in this area again. I dont even want to give it one star. There was a brown smudge on the curtains, who knows what it was. There was a dirty wash rag behind the headboard of the bed. The coffee pot didn't work. On top of that, they jacked up the prices due to a convention in town because all other motels were booked up and had no vacancies. I paid 92.00 a night for a room that was worth no more than 50.00. The pool is TINY, and in a small space with a chain link fence in the back parking lot. There is no elevator. When I mentioned my concerns to the front desk, the man just smiled and handed me my bill. Don't stay here if you can help it.
Great staff, good breakfast. Around $70 a night(CDL discount) for 2 people. Very large room, big bed..very comfy. TV works, refrigerator, microwave and huge bathroom! Gas station and food market right next to hotel, along with some restaurants in the walking area.
