The bartender is awesome! The food a good, and they have a huge deck to relax on

This place was run down and gross. The lobby staff were friendly but the place needs remodeling really bad. The parking lot is full of weeds growing through cracks, and litter. I didn't go into the bar which is the part everyone seems to love (from what I hear). There was a bloody gauze bandage with wound packing outside of our door. The dumpster was piled high but the staff kept throwing more bags and they opened and spilled around the dumpster pen. Inside was musty and the old old furniture had dust build up around the arms and edges of the chairs. It was quiet and the fridge worked and the bathroom was clean. The place was VERY quiet. There were not many guests but that's ok. We put all our luggage in the bathroom as we didn't trust there were no bed bugs. The blankets underneath the bed spreads had cigarette burns in them and were old so we just left the beds made. We put out new clean sheets on top of the outdated bedspreads that had no life left in them and were completely flat. We just slept on and curled up in the sheets. We only stayed because we were exhausted. Sure enough in the morning a bed bug was present and caught in the act! We shoved our sheets into a plastic bag and tied it for washing on return home. I pulled the covers off the beds to see if there were any other bugs but didn't see any. I packed up the car and checked out and asked to speak to the manager. I was very upset about the bug thing. She called staff to go check the room and asked me to go meet them at the room. I said no way I'm out of here I'm not going back in there to help hunt bed bugs or try to prove my case. She said "Well, you know the bed bugs do travel.." Sorry but I KNOW we didn't bring them and did not appreciate the accusation so I left in a hurry as I could see there was no sympathy. Quality Inn is further from where we visit but it's much cleaner for just a few bucks more.

Good, clean room priced reasonably. Extra was the Lounge serving drinks and comfort foods. Only minus was lack of electrical outputs in the room.

We don't usually expect much from a hotel or motel when we travel, just a quiet place to sleep, and get cleaned up. We decided to spend a little extra and book a suite, thinking it would be worth it, but we were wrong. This place seemed to go out of its way to make our stay extra miserable. For starters, I do not believe there is any type of maintenance going on here. The shower faucet had a pretty steady leak, and the rust stain in the tub indicates it has been that way for some time now. The non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke. There were several lights that did not work, an outlet that did not work, and the flush valve in the toilet would not seal. It was hard to relax with the people screwing next door, the rooms (even the suite) are tiny, and dirty (with age). Returning from lunch, we found a couple of people (one I presume to be a staff member) outside blocking the ONLY passable way to drive back to our room. We waited patiently even after a dirty look from the staff member, for about 10 minutes before we were able to pass to get back to our room. Anyway, the list continues, but we ended out checking out early, and will NEVER stay here again.

The rooms were nice. There were no elevators and we were on the second floor. However, that was my fault for not asking enough questions when I booked it. My only complaint was the heater/ air conditioner wasn't working. We had to have the door open to cool too if at night when we got in. Otherwise it was good service. Free Breakfast was good.

The rooms are always great. But this time, my bathroom door locked me in - without locking the door!! Thankfully enough had family 👪 with me to open door from other room Otherwise not sure how long i would have been there.

Stayed overnight before 2 hospital visits in winter. Dubuque is hilly, the place is located in a valley and we barely made it out of the lot. Room was clean and ok -could use better bathroom facilities update.

Had a place for us and even ran cards to find us a room. Service by staff was awesome. That said, there was a drunk trying to get into our room for the first half hour we were there. Nothing violent, but he was standing there inserting and reinserting his card every few minutes.

Tge pool and lounge area was really great, fantastic live music. The lobby was comfortable. However, air conditioning was not good, the room felt damp and smelled like mold. Location is great. The bed was not comfortable, the blankets were threadbare. Staff were very friendly. Waffles in the morning were excellent. It wouldn't be my first choice of hotels but it is a good back up plan.

The staff was wonderful and the service was nice. My one complaint is that the room itself showed signs of low quality construction. For example, the bathroom door didn't fully close. Overall, it was still a good experience.

Only stayed for one night due to personal agenda; service desk and bar staff were nice and friendly. Accommodations were as expected for the low price-point; not very modern, but the bed was comfy and there was a small flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. If you need a place to crash, but you want to spare some cash, then this is the place for you.

The room we received was on the second floor. We we're initially told it was on the first floor so we drove all the way to the other end of the building looking for it. Turned out it was only 5 rooms from the near end. After finding out that it was on the second floor I asked if we could have a ground floor room and was told they were full. No big deal but I was in town for work and after spending 13 hours working I didn't care for climbing stairs at 12AM. When we arrived in the room, the first time, it was guite warm despite it being only 70° outside. We turned the air conditioner on only to find out that it was already set for 65°. The fan speed selector did not work. After pressing several buttons and changing the temp selection, the compressor would not turn on. I turned the unit off and unplugged it for.15 minutes then plugged it in and turned it on. The compressor turned on but the fan still would not go to high speed. We left the room like that for 8 hours, returning at 12AM, and it was still warm. I always bring my own small fan so I put that on top of the unit to help circulate the cold air. That worked well and the room cooled off. The temperature and pressure of the shower was good but the drain could not keep up. I was standing in 3 inches of water by the end of my shower. Having to rinse off your feet after stepping out of the shower is awkward. Over all, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Asside from the AC issue, it was a pleasant stay. Neither of the maintenance issues we're reported until check out so I can't comment on their ability to resolve the issues.
