If this place was in the city I would give it a 5 star but with where it's at you can get larger portions of similar quality for the same price nearby, that said the atmosphere is ideal, the service is amazing, and the side order of sauteed mushrooms are easily the best I've had in a long time.

Mediocre at best. Not bad, but not impressive. Service was lacking a little. Slow with getting some of the drinks, slow with getting refills, had to ask twice for more bread, and dishes stayed piled up on table. Food was good, but not great.

Good food! But this place has literally the worst customer service I think I've ever seen lol every time too I just gave up on going there. But hey, you can always order to go ! Lol

Came here cause we craved for steak and this place made me want to drive 30 miles to Texas Roadhouse. It wasn't bad at all but I was just hoping to get a Texas size and quality Ribeye

Ok service. Pet peeve of mine is a bartender who pays attention to a select few at their bar instead of enraging with everyone at the bar. When patrons have to be asked to be served, then the bartender isn't paying attention. Food was ok. Ask for a filet medium and it came out close to well done. 2nd time was better but not hot. Will probably be back as it is the only place in Jackson with food that isn't all fried.

I ate there yesterday afternoon. First time and last time at this Dakota's.
Very poor service from my waitress. Waited 10 minutes or so before she even came to my table to take my order for drinks and appetizer. Once she brought my appetizer which were pretzel bites, they did not have one speck of salt on any of them. I mean who eats pretzel bites without any salt on them? Ordered my steak to be cooked med and when it came it was rare! Was the poorest cut of a ribeye steak that I have eaten in years. Asked for ketchup and it took another 10 minutes to get that. Once the waitress brought my check it took another 10-15 minutes before she came to pick my card up to pay for the bill. I have eaten at the Dakota's in Hillsboro Ohio many times and never have had bad service and or bad food. The manager at the Dakota's in Hillsboro floats around the store personally asking patrons about how their meal and service are.response / report this review -

I sometimes think it's a hit or miss on the steak. The service is always great, food seems little overpriced for the quality. If they would always have a high quality steak I wouldn't mind the price and would rate it 5 stars.

I almost always get Ribeye here but have tries other things. Burgers are great! Service is great also.
