I was in Destin for a week. I called Custom Concepts and left a message. Mac called me back the same day and I met with Mark to discuss my idea. I was scheduled for an appointment on Wednesday. Tuesday morning, I had an extremely moving experience while in the ocean. I emailed Mark and told him that we needed to completely change the tattoo to reflect my recent experience. I showed up on Wednesday and Mark was there, ready with a new design. He takes his job very seriously. The tattoo looks FANTASTIC and Mark and Mac are great people! I plan to fly back for Mark to tattoo me again.

Cool place and clean shop. The only reason I can't give a whole five stars is because I only got some shading done there. All the employees are awesome and the owner is pretty cool as well. If I'm ever in the area again I'll have to stop by to get that fifth star.

This place was amazing! From the first moment spent at the shop to the last we had great service! This was my 1st tattoo and my sisters second. They gave there educated opinion about how do adjust our sisters tattoo and worked with us until it was exactly what we wanted. Mac and Terry were very patient and kind through everything. They probably were secretly super annoyed with us haha but didn't let it show. Terry was our tattoo artist and he was amazing with everything! I was recommended to this shop from my husbands friend and I am so glad I took his advice. I highly recommend getting any tattoo or piercing done at this shop. Clean, friendly, patient, educated and talented!

Customer service is excellent! I'm from out of town and was only in town for 3 days. My mother and I went in to get matching tattoos and he was just about to walk out the door to go home. He took the time to give us both the tattoo we wanted, and was extremely easy to work with! He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable while we were there. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

I love my tattoo! The staff was awesome in helping me to work through my design and make it absolutely what I wanted. This facility is clean and everyone is so nice. The person before me had a personal issue during the process, and the staff was quick to step in, help, and make her comfortable. I was given a fair price, and my artist, Jay, was the best! I highly recommend these guys.

Has an awesome experience from the moment I walked in the door. Mac was super helpful and extremely nice. Jay was our artist and did an amazing job. Felt comfortable and was more than pleased with his work. Definitely a place I would recommend. Cleanliness and expertise were above and beyond my expectations. This shop is absolutely wonderful. Everybody is friendly and very welcoming. I came here for a consultation with Terry for my second tattoo on my ribs after I moved here and needless to say I'll never have to worry about finding another shop or artist. Every artist in here is very talented and friendly. Its super clean and the biggest thing is I'll never have to worry about if my tattoos are going to turn out how I want them. They turn out even better than I pictured them. They truly make art and I'm proud to say where I got my tattoos. This place is outstanding !

Me and my son stopped into there shop on a Sunday evening and wanted to get some new art. We was met by Jay and and gave him our ideas. He ask if we could come back in a couple hours since we didn't have a appointment and he would have something drawn up for us. We returned and it was exactly what we wanted done. The owner Terry was there. I had him do some work on me about 4 years ago and I knew he was former military and was in the same branch as me. The staff was extremely friendly and the price was the best in town. The work was excellent and looked awesome. We will always have our work done here.

After extensive research, I decided I wanted a dermal neck and nipple piercings, and all directions led to Darby.
I had read that she's the best, so if I was going to do it, it was going to be by her. She pierced me when I went to Destin for vacation and I can say nothing but good things about her. The communication is great all throughout the process from consultation to answering any questions I had.
The actual piercings went by very quickly and didn't hurt. I think the whole process took about 30 minutes tops -including prep, piercing and aftercare instructions. She is very sweet and talks to you the whole time and let's you know what she's doing as she works. She's so good that she had done the piercing and I was still waiting, bracing myself for her to do it. I won't say it's completely painless, but it hurts even less knowing there is someone as professional as her working on you. Immediately afterward, I just felt normal as if nothing was there, and was easily able to go on with my day.
I'd have to agree with everyone and say she is indeed the best - very professional and it's clear that she's experienced and dedicated to quality. If you're thinking about getting this piercing, I highly recommend her, I wouldn't trust anyone else. In fact, I trusted her so much that I chose her to pierce my teenage daughter's navel-- and my daughter couldn't be more thrilled.response / report this review -

Tattoos are the best kind of hobby: the kind in which you get to lie down and make someone else do all the work. (Amirite, ladies—no, let’s just let that one go.)
I love tattoos, and choosing the perfect artist requires a level of trust and optimism: your artist will be skillful, they will understand and share your particular vision, and, crucially, that at least one of you will to double-check the sketches before committing it to your flesh forever.
I chose Custom Concepts Tattoo and Design for all the reasons above and could not have been more blown away by the professionalism, design, cleanliness, respect, and attention-to-detail.
Terry took my idea and transformed it to an over-the-top piece of art that exceeded any and all expectations I could have ever wished for. He spent many many hours on design work before we even started with the needle-- and ensured I was completely happy before the many, many hours it took to complete my half sleeve.
All could not have been accomplished if Terry- as a true artist- did not have deep pride in his work and a keen eye for attention to detail like he so clearly showed.
I'm so impressed that I will fly from Texas back to his shop for all future appointments.response / report this review
