  A hidden gem in the heart of Claremont Mesa area. This Italian restaurant is the perfect answer to big chain restaurants. Amazing food, great environment, and excellent staff. Treat yourself to a really good lunch, or enjoy a date night at this beautifully, yet simply, decorated eatery.

  The caprese sandwich was the best I've ever had. The bread was out of this world. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ate outside. In all, it was a very pleasant meal.

  Fantastic and very authentic Italian food! Great selection of meat, pastas, seafood, pizzas, salads, sandwichessomething for everyone, including gluten-free and vegetarian. My husband and I dine here often, but I still can't get enough! They have a good wine list too.
  
  The staff and chef are very accommodating, always willing to accommodate specials requests. This place is a very good price-performer. It's not cheap, but you're getting good quality and value.
  
  Try the gnocchi. They're heavenly! The best I've had in San Diego. It's not worth making my own with gnocchi this good finally available!

  Cute little place inside strip mall. Authentic Italian food with great service. Staff was super nice and very accommodating to all my food allergies. Everyones dish was great! Will definitely go back again!!!

  Really really bad restaurant. I'm italian and I can confirm that food and staff are terrible and incompetent. I advice you to delete this restaurant from your choices.

  Go to Cucina Italiana for an extraordinary experience where each bite will transport you to a small villa in Italy. Being from New Orleans, La and have been raised on great food both at home and in restaurants. I have eaten meals from the greatest chefs such as Ella Brennan, Donald Link, Emeril Lagasse, John Wong, whose creations are beyond compare. I found a great dinning experience in San Diego. This group of kinsmen from the shores of Italy have brought their passions for food to San Diego. Dinning at Cucina Italiana is like joining friends at their home for a fabulous meal and pleasant company. I never look at the menu just simply ask the chef to create something for me where each meal is as fabulous as the next and the pizza chef, Maximo who has cooked in nine countries around the world and is truly a master chef.
