-Grew up going to the Post and have so many amazing memories of great times with Friends and Family. I always get a sense of nostalgia when I visit and albeit bittersweet when I reminisce of times from childhood with my Father and Grandfather from Softball Games to Turkey Shoots and from Booster Picnics to Dances in the Hall these memories are cherished. That being said there have been many changes over the years and from what I've seen recently while I'm happy this V.F.W. is thriving it has lost some character and charm that once made it such a special place but realistically without these changes and left to stagnate I don't know if it would've survived.
- In it's modern and revitalized incarnation the Post has been being used in some fun ways. While the mystique of a private Members Only Club for Veterans and their Families is long gone (as is the once manicured Softball Field) the Public Cantina has brought in a much needed revenue to keep the place up and running. Also the renovated Hall and Pavilion have opened up a lot more opportunity which will even see the return of Professional Wrestling after 30+ years featuring current and former Stars of WWE, TNA & ECW (brought to Harrison by B.O.T.B. President Denim Blevins).
-End of Day I can say it's a solid 4-Star Post whether just to casually have a few after work Drinks or seeking something Fun with all the different Events Planned throughout the Year. So maybe check out the Website or visit the FB Page and scan the Calendar and find something of Interest or even better stop in and have Drink. And if You or someone You know has Served Overseas during a Time of War let me implore You to consider becoming a Member of one of America's foremost Veteran's Advocacy Groups. Gods Bless.
