Really really really good food. Expensive but worth it!
Great place to have a nice romantic dinner dinner. Ambient is nice and quite. Staff is friendly. Food is is good. The place does not have a wide variety of food options (No vegan options). However, is has a nice bar with a nice variety of wines and drinks.
Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We sat on the front porch since it was a lovely night. Their menu had many choices, including a price fixed menu. My husband and I split an endive salad with shredded pear, apples, and walnuts. Then I had a pork scaloppini with polenta and chorizo, which was amazing. My husband also enjoyed his lobster tail with Linguini Arabiatta. Definitely one of the most delicious meals I've had in a while. Very friendly staff too.
Food was great! Servers were nice. The hosts were not very friendly, but otherwise the place was pretty good!
Not subpar, but not great either. Pasta wasn't cooked well. Appetizers were super generic. Cocktails were solid and the space is beautiful.
We had higher expectations of the place and overall the experience was mediocre. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it if someone has a few days in the area. We had significantly better meals elsewhere. I was surprised at how standard everything was -- the menu, the preparation and the service. The menu wasn't very impressive at all; in fact all the dishes across the menu were very standard fare that frankly are easy to replicate at home. I'd expected a slightly more innovative menu, especially given the restaurant's proximity to fresh, local produce. Many of the dishes were seriously over-salted. We'd ordered a side of fries that arrived quite randomly between the appetizer and entree courses, and we ate these while we waited another 10+ minutes for the main dishes. Didn't really make sense. Lastly the salted caramel ice cream in the sundae (which was delicious) wasn't even homemade, and I found that quite off-putting because, again, what is the role of the restaurant?
It was a beautiful place. The food was great. I will recommend the rigatoni with sausage it was great my wife had the risotto Especial that was excellent to with a scallops
Excellent food not far from the center of town. Always go here with my partner when we're visiting Woodstock.
DeliciousAccommodating for a no reservation visit. Cozy ambiance, super service. Awesome
Second year in a row for new years eve, again fantastic through every course.
NYC prices for seriously good food in an awesome setting. Try to score a table outside during a cool summer evening.
Amazing kale saladamazing fried squid calamari. The egg drop soup was one of the best soups I've ever tasted. The service is perfect. Sit outside and have dinner. The Bear and La Cucina are the best restaurants in town.
I dont know who gave them any less than a 5 star I've gone to this restaurant since it opened.
