Casual dining. The outside seating by the water is fun but fills up fast. Much of the food you can get fried or broiled. I like a light breading on fried foods (I rarely eat it) and this was a thicker breading. The fish and shrimp was better than the scallops (not bay scallops, BTW). They have lots of gator options if you want to try something different. Hardly any options for those with food allergies.

Great experience all around. Food was a bit slow getting to our table but was fantastic when it arrived. Our waiter, Erica, was great and payed close attention to detaim, and she checked on us to make sure everything was going awesome. Would recommend for families and they also had a great bar for all of your drinking needs.

Food was great!! We had a great server! He was super nice and on top of anything we needed! It was our first time eating gator and it was great!! We also had shrimp and they were huge!! All around great experience! The only advice I would give the restaurant is to expand your hostess/bathroom area! When there was people waiting, I couldn’t even get my littl girl to the bathroom because there was so many people standing in the little waiting area! Besides that though, great experience!

OK, so we love this place. We have lived in the area a month and gone at least 6 times. You can sit outside on the water and that's a major selling point for my family of 5! The food is HUGE! Consider sharing unless you are used to gigantic portion's. My husband and I like getting the nachos to share and we can't eat it all. Prices are not bad at all I mean when I say its a ton of food I mean it. My boys 15 and 12 shared a burger and fries. They were so p'd of at us for doing that but they could barely fit it all in their stomachs. And if you know any teenage boys then you know that's saying something! Hope this helps make your decision to definitely go try crackers and go hungry and also enjoy the cool ambiance.

The food is good. The wait staff is good. There is no way for a person in a wheelchair to go down to the water's edge. Nor is there accessibility into the restroom. 😖 Perhaps they will upgrade this some day soon.

Outdoor seating on the river is very picturesque. The atmosphere is anything but ostentatious. This is a fish and bar place. I had the special, red snapper, which was very good. The prices are reasonable too. I recommend this place.

Good food, but not much in the way of service. Hope you like whatever you order just the way it comes, because they don't do requests. Can't get anything customized because "the kitchen won't do special orders when they're busy." Which is apparently always. Been here twice and got the same answer on two different requests from two different servers. Also makes me nervous to hear that some of their food (specifically their seafood sampler appetizer) "comes all together in a bag". I kinda figured being on the water I'd get fresh food.

Visiting from the UK we have been to Crackers a couple of times previously and thoroughly enjoyed it so after a day of kayaking we had worked up an appetite and wanted to go again! Went in at about 5pm and got seated straight away. Our sever was excellent! Sorry can't remember his name (young guy with short beard and baseball cap). He was very attentive, friendly and extremely prompt to refill our Cokes and bring anything we needed quickly. Our food arrived quickly and it was good sized portions and very tasty. We had coconut shrimp to start with followed by fish tacos for myself and a burger for my wife.
Reading other reviews that complain about the place all I can say is some of them need to get a grip! It's a bar and grill not a 3 star Michelin restaurant so don't expect silver service or to be spoon fed or have your arsed wiped by a waiter.
The prices are perfectly reasonable for the type of food and place and if you think they're expensive then sorry but you are a cheap arse and should probably stick to Burger King down the road.

Great place. The food was fantastic and I'm pretty picky. The crab cakes were great and came with a spicy remoulade sauce. There was no filler just crab. Also fish and chips were great. Make sure to get the zucchini fries. Yummy!!! The atmosphere outside on the bay. Beautiful view and breeze. Priceless :)

Prompt service at bar. Food was delicious. Asked for burger rare. Came out well done. Manager took it off the bill didn't even ask for it to be removed because it was still good. Will return in future

The food was great. Waitress was good. Wait, not good. Who wants to wait 45 min to an hour to be seated. Then 20 min to get drinks. They are understaffed and don't take reservations. Not sure if I want to put up with that again.

We were seated in one area, waited for 20 minutes and no wait staff greeted us. We asked to move, were told the waiter would be out, he came to a table near us but not our table. Five minutes later we insisted on being moved.
Our waitress was nice, but obviously stretched too thin. We never when got our second drinks and apps & meals almost came out together despite her assurances that wouldn't happen when we ordered them all at the same time.
Food was nothing special.
This place had location and potential atmosphere, but it wasn't staffed appropriately.response / report this review -

We've been to this restaurant several times in the year we've lived here. We always sit outside, never a wait, the portions are plentiful and the food is good. The atmosphere is pleasant and the scenery is wonderful. Our last visit, Lori took care of us, my kids loved her, she was a tad swamped but made up for it in personality! Love waitresses like her! One of our favorite spots in Crystal River.

This is a busy place! We had to wait for seating although we were able to wait at the bar. The accommodations were decent but the food was mixed. Liked the scallops, French dip sandwich, and zucchini fries. Did not like the sweet potato fries they hare served coated with a sweet syrup dressing.
