We just used Concrete Masters to stain our basement floor. They did outstanding work with a complex situation and we are really pleased with how the look came out. They were very timely and thorough with their work and Max and team were easy and friendly to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering this type of project…

There are plenty of companies offering concrete floor finishing services. Few have the experience of Concrete Masters. I have partnered with them on several occasions. Their staff knows what they are doing and work hard to get the best results. Concrete is a spectrum material. It takes a professional to know how to work with it. Sometimes there are issues with the process. I have always gotten the best of all possible outcomes when I've partnered with them. Absolutely recommend!

I have a stained concrete driveway and courtyard that were both created when we built this house in 1996. Over the years we have put fresh sealer the courtyard several times. The stain then needed to be redone in May 2021 and I engaged Concrete Masters to do the job, both driveway and courtyard. They said they could stain and seal them. It was expensive but I did nor quibble over the price. After it was done, Max, the owner, said that it should "last 4-5 years". It lasted 11 months for the courtyard! (The driveway was fine because we did not change colors) I contacted them and after a long wait they sent out two workers who repainted the courtyard and that's when I realized the problem. There were splotches all around and they said it must have been poured wrong in the beginning (25 years earlier!)
Though they said they could stain, they PAINTED the concrete. The second paint made it worse, especially when they did not seal it and said that they were very busy and would "get back". After a month I haven't heard from them and I would never have them back for anything. They misrepresented themselves as stainers but did not STAIN the concrete. Unfortunate but expensive lesson for me.

Horrible customer service! According to Yelp others had the same issue. I called, and I was very specific with what I needed, and even offered to send video so they can get an accurate idea of what I needed quoted. Each time I called, the same person would answer and say "text this number" (the number listed as their phone number), "and I will call you right back." Never get a call back, it is all a ploy to get you off of the phone. It is a wonderful sign for them because if they treat potential customers like trash, they must have enough current business to keep things going. Great for them, horrible for new customers. Do not waste your time here, search elsewhere.

UPDATE: Ironically - if you call it that.less then an hour after this review was posted I automatically got a phone call from Shawn / Sean (-sp?) who said he was the Estimator for Concrete Masters. Just got off the phone with them on a recorded line where Shawn was calm, cool and collected, and easy to speak with. Max or Matt (difficult to understand through his uncontrollable anger) on the other hand is unable to control his emotions and took the phone and was incensed. He raised his voice, cut me off, and he claimed "I had no right to leave a review because I was not a customer and because of my review they do not want my business" even though THEY called me back to schedule a time to come out and quote. Hmmmm, you only return phone calls of those who leave negative reviews? Max or Matt then proceeded to hang up the phone. Thank God I was not a customer and waste my hard earned money on businesses who treat potential customers this way. I can imagine how they would treat me if I had a question, whew short tempered people. I am not sure if they are aware they are aware, but thanks to platforms such as Google Reviews and Yelp, customers and potential customers are able to accurately leave their own experiences customer or not. No wonder there are no other reviews. If you leave a bad one, Mad Max will cuss you out! HAHAHA! I am glad I did not waste my money. Check Yelp if you do not believe me. Other customers have had the same issue, and notice as of yet NO ONE has left a detailed positive review. Go at your own risk.
