Great experience with Lillian Custom Homes! Highly recommended!
Update: No CRES.
When we went to court, we had asked the judge to pull the account, because as I explained to you all the first time around, we made some cash deposits and some check. The judge said he could not subpeona the account, therefore, we had no proof on the other. All of this could have been avoided if you would have worked with us, Hell, you didn`t even know if we were staying there! You all just provided a beautiful learning lesson for me to hold fast to all receipts, which I learned after this horrible experience..
I wish I could say I had a great long experience with these people. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Our relationship was short lived. Hell, they didn't even know I had been living in their property. Soo, there introduction consisted of "hey! Here is your eviction notice". Instead of reviewing the files from the previous mgr, since I couldn't produce all files myself, I had to move quickly. They were not willing to work with me. I had been in that house for 3 yrs.. so now I start over again and the old house sits on vacancy..
CRESIndy has the worst customer service I've ever encountered in an organization. When I was shown a house, I was told that the income requirement was 3.5x the rent. My fiance and I loved the house so we applied (at $40 each) and were the first to do so. We make over 4.5x the monthly rent.
Four days later, our applications were denied because "We don't consider roommates' combined incomes as verifiable income." First off, this was NOT made clear by the person who showed the house and is NOT made clear on the front of their rental application. It is purposefully poorly worded, and as I read reviews I see I'm not the first to get burned on this baffling policy. Secondly, my fiance and I have been together for four years and have three COMPLETE years of verifiable rental history together, as can be seen on our application. A company that isn’t willing to assess on a case-by-case is not a company that cares about its customers.
But wait, it gets better!
When I offered to have a cosigner (my dad) with a higher income submit an application on our behalf, Ingrid told me this would be fine and we could move forward. The cosigner application was submitted on the SAME DAY that we were denied, and Ingrid even confirmed the cosigner application was received and complete the very next morning - AND during that same phone call she told me that we were still first in line for the house.
Three days later, they called me and told me the house was leased to somebody else. This is so completely wrong in every way. CRESIndy screwed us out of $80 in app fees for a vague/unknown/ambiguous policy AND THEN STOLE ANOTHER $40 after encouraging me to submit a cosigner app! Why tell me to submit a cosigner application if you were just going to give it to somebody else? Pathetic.
That is robbery. Tenants should avoid at all cost. I'll be submitting a complaint to the BBB.
I am a renter at a property managed by them. I have been complaining about my heat a few times now. Finally, they sent a maintenance guy who was not professional at all, and was very rude. When I raised an objection to him shouting at me from my driveway, he started swearing at me. This is not all, when I expressed my concern with the management, they told me that 'they cannot take sides' and that they were not going to 'babysit'. That is not fair, if the company cannot hold itself accountable to its employee's behavior. I mean I let the guy near my house because he represents the company, they cannot wash their hands off his behavior but that is exactly what they did. And all I expected was a clean apology and acknowledgement that the line had been crossed, that’s it.
So, if I had kept quiet and listened to all the shouting and swearing from the maintenance guy, then may be I would deserve an apology/acknowledgement? I am stuck with them because my house owner has a contract with them. They think they owe me nothing, so now I am planning to go through my house owner for everything. I feel bad for him, because he is a nice guy but I cannot stand to deal with Complete Real Estate directly. Worst renting experience ever. And I have been renting for a while now.
Rented a home for 2 years from CRES, never had any issues with them at all. Enjoyed our time in Greenwood. Thanks
Why can't I give them zero stars? I am an out of state landlord and let me tell you be wary when they want to charge fees for doing nothing. I thought let me try them out since they were referred, but never again. They never answer the phone, which was the first red flag. It took them two months to let me know that the carpet needed to be replaced eventhough the first conversation I had was tell me what I need to do to get it rented. NO call back. I had to call and then wait a few days for a call back. I had my tenant call who was interested in moving and she never got a call back that was the end of it. then when i terminated they took the lockbox with my keys in it and I had to pay 350 to change the locks. Terrible Terrible Company. Do not use them
My fiancé and I put in an application. They claim that we both (individually) have to make 3.5 the rent for a property because we are not married. Never once on the application did it ask were we married. Nor, did it say we had to be married to combine the incomes We could've been married and had two different last names. Beginning the application it say that applicant combined gross income must be 3.5 times the rent. I've never heard of any place, apartments and all, saying they would not combine 2 adults that will be living in the same household's income. Ever! If it was expressed during the application process, I would have never applied because I knew I didn't make 3.5 times the rent, although my fiancé does.
