The Dr. was amazing but getting anyone to return a phone call is darn near impossible.

My 5 star rating is for the psych rehab program. It's great. I only have this service.

Honestly, screw this place to all eternity. Good luck getting an appointment that isn't monthly. Oh, and if you miss more than two, they shame you with group therapy on why you shouldn't miss appointments, which is super productive if you have social anxiety. And if you miss after that they kick you out which is super cool. So much for an understanding place with good therapists. I hope hospitals aren't still sending local patients here. If you value your mental health, avoid the f*** out of this place. Wouldn't recommend it to a struggling person I hated it's that bad.

The CGC has been extremely helpful for my mental health. I refused to seek treatment for so long and as soon as I came in for my intake appointment I felt comfortable with the staff and the environment. Both therapy and partial has greatly helped me, I am very appreciative of the services that I have received.

If I knew then what I do now, I would have never seeked services for my 11 year old daughter @CGC. Telepsych should never be an option for children nor medication unless absolutely necessary as a last resort. No Dr should be able to diagnose a child over a computer screen. 2 years of services and the one star is for the staff in the family base and alpha programs who spent the time and effort to get to know my child. All of these so called professional and certified people but not one ever even suggested treating the real issue instead of treating the symptoms and masking her issues with medication. Granted my child was evaluated in another state before her services at CGC any good Dr would carefully go over her history and re evaluate and possibly re diagnose. I can't tell my situation in detail but my child has been suffering because I knew no better and thought because they were certified and we're DR'S that they knew best. I don't understand how anyone let alone a Dr can sit at a computer for 30 or 40 min once a month and think your successfully treating a child or anyone by just listening to what others have to say about that child, not talking to or getting to know that child. Not.spending time with or seeing how he/she acts, talks, ect Then prescribe mind altering medication that now years later have induced or amplified ADHD, emotional or behavioral issues. Again meds for children should be last resort. I'm not a Dr nor a nurse or a psychiatric anything. I refuse after two years of belief that they could and would help my child to sit back and waist time and soon it will be too late . Then what??? Anyways back to the point CGC absolutely not for the treatment of children with behavioral emotional or any kind of issues . It's not a joke and the program should be banned, closed, revoked and re evaluated by people who care about children.

I give it 2 stars for less then subpar service. How do you not accept Medicare to receive one on one counseling? Most other places will accept my insurance, why not the CGC? I don't necessarily recommend it. If you need services, go to FBR or Family Psych, but this is just my experience.

Mental health provider doing what they can
There aren't many convenient places with psychiatrists and therapists available anymore for patients to obtain needed treatment. This is a large facility with many clients - be ready to change psychologists and doctors because of changes in staff, which can be upsetting. Good public transportation arrangements.
