Decent rustic hotel but if you’re looking for the large hot breakfast spread or industrial ice machine of chain hotels, this doesn’t provide that. That said, this is a comfy place to stay if you’re in the area.

We recently stayed at the Commodores Inn for a midweek ski trip and found the Inn to be wonderfully convenient to all that Stowe has to offer. The facility has everything needed to make for a comfortable visit - a hot breakfast (included) in the dining room, comfortable beds/linens, and a cozy bar for an after dinner drink. Paul and Greg, the bartenders, were attentive and wonderfully personable. Also, we were pleasantly surprised that a shuttle bus arrived on the half hour to take you into the town of Stowe or to the ski hill, a big plus if you are in a group and people want to finish skiing at different times. The pond out back was frozen while we were there- it looked like a great place to ice skate. The pool and Jacuzzi felt great at the end of a day on the mountain. This is a very kid friendly hotel, but if you don't have kids, the rooms are quiet so you won't hear them. We will definitely be coming back for a return visit!

Can't say enough good things about this place. Had a get together with motorcycle friends, and were able to park our motorcycles in front under cover. The restaurant staff is very nice very accommodating had a great time would do it again

We stayed here over New year's weekend, we had record low temps and no heat in our room. When we reported it we were offered s space heater which kept the room at 50 degrees. When we brought this to the front desk's attention we were offered a bottle of syrup. We were extremely dissatisfied with their response. Our comfort $ stay did not seem to matter since we were informed we had already paid in full through Expedia. We got the impression that since they got there money our stay and experience with them did not matter. DO NOT Recommend!!

Older hotel that could use some updates but it was clean and still an awesome stay for my family. My kids LOVED the arcade/game room, the board game area, and the warm indoor pool! Staff were friendly (especially those in the restaurant/bar area)! We would definitely stay here again.

First room they gave us was HOT. I was sweating immediately upon walking in and the thermostat was maxed out at 85*F. The unit was on upon arrival, but only non chilled air was blowing into the room. I talked to the front desk and she said I have to wait for the AC unit to turn on, I told her it was on before I entered and I had waited a bit before talking to them about it. She said she had no other rooms available. I was silent and thinking of what my options were as I cannot sleep in 85*+ temps she said there was another rom and got us switched out. The AC in that room was a wall unit and also had some glitches, but thankfully kept the room under 80*F all night. The rooms were nice other than the temperature issue. The first room had about 5 beetles inside and outside the window and there was no screen, but the second room had a screen and was bug free. I don't think I would stay here again. They were on the cheaper side of hotels in the area and they did allow dogs which is why we chose them. I am unhappy with the rudeness of the staff and not apologizing for the room issues or even seeming to be concerned.

The only positives we found were the beds were comfortable and the bartender Paul made some really good drinks. The description says newly remodeled but that is definitely not the case! To holes in the walls, stains on the walls, old food left under the table in our room to falling ceiling in the middle of the dining room. Definitely would not recommend staying here especially for the $140 they charged us. Could of stayed somewhere else nicer for that money.

Nice hotel, pleasant, friendly staff. Talked to the owner about the improvements he has made, like very comfortable beds and nice in room TVs, all worthwhile changes. They welcome electric vehicles though they only have 115v outlets. EV chargers are coming in the future.

Our motorcycle group stayed here for several days. The management could not have been nicer to us.
The hotel is very comfortable with a large lobby, a bar/lounge, and a restaurant. The included breakfast was above average.
We've stayed here before and we will do so again.

It is a fairly decent hotel. The walls in this hotel are fairly damaged and they make the hotel less appealing. The rooms are solid enough the A.C. units work very well. The big winner with this hotel is the breakfast. It costs $7.50 for a plate but it is totally worth every penny.

A clean establishment with friendly staff and great service in a cool sailing atmosphere. If you are traveling in Vermont and want to stay in a memorable location the Commodores Inn in Stowe is a great stop along the way.

Great alternative for a family vacation. The property is very well-kept and offer several fun options for everyone -- I recommend kayaking in the property's lake (which is offered for free to guests).

Tidy hotel in a beautiful part of Vermont. Handy for the centre of Stowe and other local attractions. Staff were helpful and the free homemade cookies were a nice touch. The Old school games room is Great, with pool and ping pong tables along with retro arcade machines. Large rooms with massive beds are comfortable and clean.

Extremely helpful front desk, free kayaks, nice breakfast for less $$, free board games to play, indoor pool with jacuzzi

Commodores Inn was a great experience for me, the staff were friendly and helpful when I came to ask if they had any vacancy. The price of the room was an excellent deal, seeing as how it is foliage season, many hotels increase the cost of renting a room, but this place was a very good deal for the money. The rooms are clean and have the standard amenities, which made it a great place to stay for the weekend. Free breakfast, lemonade and cookies in the lobby were also a nice treat! I would definitely stay here again, this is a very well-kept inn!

Loved it! A little old fashioned, but we had hot chocolate and cookies by the fire place and played some of the board games they had. Will definitely stay again.

Staff was friendly and the place was pretty nice. Motorcycle friendly too!
The dinner buffet surprised me. It didn't look that great at first until I tried it but definitely was good for this type of buffet. The jacuzzis were nice and relaxing.
If you do end up on the 3rd floor, be aware that there's no elevator to that level and the ice machine is at the 1st floor. First time here would seem like a maze but after two trips up and down I seemed to have it figured out. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area again.

The hotel amenities were fabulous! Great deal for the inexpensive off-season rate (we stayed in August). An indoor and an outdoor pool, 3 hot tubs, a lake to take out a rowboat and kayaks. Free breakfast. We had a great time and Stowe is such a pretty town! The restaurants we tried in the area were also excellent.

Excellent price and location, beautiful outdoor pool, indoor pool and hot tub. On site restaurant, bar and outdoor deck. Comfortable bed. Courteous staff. What more could you ask for? Was only going to stay 1 night, ended up staying 2. Will go back.
