  Go local! My favorite comic book shop to visit since I started collecting in the early 1980s. No attitude; everyone is welcome! The owners are passionate about what they sell and extremely knowledgeable. They seek out new, small press, local, progressive, anti-racist, anti-sexist, and thought provoking without skimping on the mainstream too. No cards/games (fine with me) but plenty of collectibles and figures (like a cool museum) and inexpensive back issues. They do it up for free comic book days and they have a lot of original comic art and items from local comic creators (including some fairly famous folks).

  Really enthusiastic relaxed workers and a great mix of comics and graphic novels. Great customer service, it's rare to go up to the counter to buy something and not turn away smiling. There was also a little dog there once who was the BEST. Hugged my friend and followed him around. I always have a nice time when i stop in to browse or buy and usually browsing turns into buying.

  Been to many comic book shops and this is by far one of the most unique. Brilliant personalities by all the employees as well as manners. Just beyond polite. When I have a kid he/she will be going to this comic shop.
