Ask them about their Fallout- Flynn special crust! It's lovely. A little bittersweet but extremely tasty! It's the pizza of Patriots!
I love the decor of this place as well. Signed autographs of Mike Flynn jr and Mike Cernovich. I can't wait till they get a framed mugshot of Mike Flynn Sr up!
Visited around 9pm. Good pizza, tasty wings and nice beer selection. The staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Will return.
The food wasn't bad but definitely wasn't great and there is a really weird vibe in there. Alot of strange things going on but I won't elaborate. Nice server. Good service and great drinks. The bathroom is hidden in the back and it has a hidden entrance.
Wish I could give it less than a 1 star. Service was terrible, food was even worse and highly over priced. The customers were rude as well and just seemed irritated we were there. Everyone acts like it's some private club? Than why have it open to the public? Very strange atmosphere and most definitely not a kid friendly place at all My goodness who would bring their child there? Very inappropriate, rude staff and rude "regulars" who hate you coming.
Popular spot, with a nice atmosphere and attractive outdoor patio space. If they could make the food equally attractive, they'd be on to something. The food isn't "bad" per se. The pizza is relatively small portions, expensive, and the menu options are a little toooff the wall for me (there is a build-your-own option). The wings are this odd, heavily seasoned thing that also failed to grab me. I've gone twice, got exactly what I ordered with no real problems, and I see no reason to try again.
Comet Ping Pong is a wonderful Pizza Parlor that I enjoy visiting. The place is a little noisy but is probably fine for most people. They have great indoor and outdoor seating but most importantly they have ping pong and foosball! The food itself is great. The things that makes the pizza most special is the topping offerings. They have plenty of great pizzas but I personally like making my own with extra cheese, banana peppers, basil, pepperoni, and olives. The location is also great as there is a library and gas station nearby as well as a good amount of parking spaces for the D.C. area.
I was excited to try out the restaurant at the center of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, but left a little disappointed. The industrial chic interior and friendly wait staff at Comet are great and the menu looked good on paper. Ultimately though, the food was a bit of a disappointment. All the dishes were a little "wrong" in one way or another. I tried their "Wood Roasted Cauliflower"; bland. Their "Meatball Slider Appetizer"; not bad, but way too large to be considered an appetizer. The "Hamburger Pizza"; greasy, bland. The "Soft-shell Crab Pizza"; inventive and not bad, but the soft shell crab was from too late in the season and a little leathery.
Comet is moderately priced but the food is not up to scratch with similar restaurants in the area. The restaurant, like the conspiracy, looks neat from a distance but has little substance.
What a great place!! Feels like your back in time. Great atmosphere, great service, and good oldie music. Great drinks, seriously amazing drinks!!😃. Anyways back to the restaurant. lol. Great food, awesome veggie options, and once you're done with eating , there the back of the house, a place to burn those calories off with 3 professional ping pong tables that will make you feel like a pro even if you have never played the game. Nice job guys, love it ❤️👍🏽!!
Friendly atmosphere. Awesome employees. Delicious food. Plus table tennis and live music; what's not to love?
The colors and atmosphere is zany and fun, the food is good and ping pong is always fun, but if comet ping pong wants to advertise itself or even be a bar, it needs to step up as such. My friends and I got there at 1:15 am last Saturday night for my boyfriend's birthday and we're very rudely informed by the bar staff that the bar was closed. We wouldn't have even gone if we had known that but the website said the "bar is open late" on weekends. Didn't know that 1 am was late on a Saturday night. The crowd is also supposedly diverse, but I was one of three people of color in the space and everyone was at least over thirty. I do sound like I'm griping here, but the bar touts itself as a diverse space and an atmosphere to get a drink and we really found it was not that. I've gone in to the restaurant and had a fun time with the ping pong and food which is why I'm going to give it a two star, otherwise it would have been one. After its typical restaurant hours, instead of being a fun night time spot, it seems like more of a hipster pipe dream
Comet Ping Pong has a zany, colorful industrial interior that accommodates clientele of ALL ages and backgrounds. Might need to wait for a seat but you can hover/sit at the bar or play ping pong in the back. Pizza was delicious - order one for yourself because you'll want to eat the whole thing!! Topped it off with a cookie ice cream sandwich, no regrets there. Can't wait to eat here when I'm in DC again. And let's be honest, I can't get past the cache of #PizzaGate, but it's clear they had a significant and loyal following before all of that went down!
Comet serves a fantastic Gluten Free PIZZA as well as a fantastic pizza for those who are gluttons for gluten! This place is a jewel in a lovely neighborhood offering something for everyone. I've been several times and have been always delighted. Great concept and fun for ping pong enthusiasts too!
Great place to hang out after work. Whether it's for food and drinks or to play some ping pong Comet always has a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is solid and the staff always helpful and polite. While Comet is known for their pizza, I've had some great vegetarian options there as well. The beer menu offers a solid variety of craft and national brands, but there's no happy hour special.
