The beer is decent and the food was soso. I had a Caesar salad which I thought had too much dressing and the mussels. The mussels were good though! I had 2 sour beers which I both liked and a HUGE glass of white wine. I was impressed with the large pour. The waitstaff weren’t the nicest, which irked me because it wasn’t busy at all. The atmosphere is pretty cool and I’d love to go back during the summer or in a few weeks because they have heaters outside.

While I was impressed by the locally crafted beers, I was disappointed by the disorganized service of the host, our server, and the table attendant. Half the meal was over before my water was refilled and the server returned to check on the table. The server seemed to lack knowledge about salad protein add-ons, so my small salad ended up being the price of an entree without the benefit of a side.
This may be a good place for drinks, but it is not a good place for dining.response / report this review -

Great space to hang out. Service in the free seating area was inattentive and slow. Pickle plate is good value, but the pickles weren’t pickled enough. Brussel sprouts and kielbasa were outstanding.

I visited in summer of 2017 and the beers had improved dramatically since my last visit a year ago. I had good to great beers here and love their emphasis on sour and wild beers. I also greatly enjoyed the NE IPA they had on tap. No one will agree with me but I’d put it up there with some of the Tree House beers I’ve had. DC’s best brewery.

Great house-made craft beer, impressive menu and relaxed atmosphere.
You can't go wrong with the beer and food menu items, all of the options are delicious. Try the hush puppies and the double-cut pork chop (it's enormous).
My family threw a surprise birthday party for my Mom here and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with our requests.response / report this review -

They had a DIPA called something like 5 Fathoms that was awesome. One of the better doubles I’ve had. The food was even better. This is a great spot if you’re in the area. Good food, beer & service.

First time experience, great food and beer. I tried Goldfinch beer (Belgium) and it was fantastic. I loved the atmosphere and the decorations. Would come back again.

Had a glass of their "JAM" brew and it was delicious! The rotisserie 1/2 chicken was extremely tasty and juicy! Great place to chill and hang out! Not too loud or crowded!

This brewpub can get a little busy for my taste, especially on game days, but the crowds speak volumes about the quality of the beers here. You have to try the brewer tour. It was one of my favorites.

Great drinks. Very yummy food. Diver scallops were amazing. But I would like bit more risotto to fill my carb craving tummy. Very friendly host who accommodated yes. I would try again.

I came here on a busy weekday night during the fall, for dinner. The food was average, but the beer was very good. Our server was knowledgeable in helping us go through the beer list and choose the brews to best suit our taste. I would come back here, but only for the beer.

The beers were tasty but the service was off today. We had to ask other servers for their attention when we wanted anything. Their systems were down that day so I understand things may have been hectic. The food is way overpriced for bar food but very delicious. We had the pretzel and potato skins, both were delicious. I'd see us coming back here in the future if the beer called our name.

Cool vibe, decent brews, food is pretty decent for bar food. The interior is stainless steel, industrial warehouse design to match the old shipyard factory style setting. The Yards Park nearby gives this place a cool atmosphere at night, and outdoor seating is excellent in nice weather. The whole neighborhood has a warm comfortable and welcoming feel. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend checking this place out at least once when your in the area, but after a game it is PACKED and you're lucky to get in! Go BEFORE a game, or better yet, on a non-game day!
