My wife, Lulu, and I were referred to ColorShed by our contractor as just a potential tile supplier. A year later, Cynthia (Owner of ColorShed) is a great friend and with her expertise, coaching, and insights, our wonderful Winnipesaukee lakeside project is almost a completed home!

It didn’t take but a few minutes of conversation to know we wanted to work with Cindy. We had given up on interior decorators after firing one and meeting with several other candidates months earlier. We were attempting to coordinate our project’s design ourselves. Tile selections, cabinet and countertop choices, flooring possibilities, lighting fixtures, paint colors. We were overwhelmed and lost. Did I mention plumbing fixtures, window lites and door styles? I’m an engineer and Lulu is about as artsy fairy as they come. Cynthia demonstrated her communication skills immediately speaking both fluent engineer and girl. Cynthia, you’re hired!

Over the next few weeks, Cynthia dove into our project. She listened, she asked a million questions, she got to know us. Lulu and I felt less overwhelmed. Cynthia managed to present options in a way that made sense to both the technical engineer and the color texture girl. Every time we visited ColorShed, paint, flooring, tile, granite, cabinet samples for our project were always laying on the floor as Cindy worked on the next aspects of the design.

Cynthia’s knowledge of her product lines is extensive but when I did manage to stump her, she researched and found answers and solutions. Cynthia produced detailed drawings for the various installers for undermount bathtubs, a steam shower enclosure, and multiple shower tile layouts. Behind the scenes, Cynthia coordinated her sub-contractors, ordered material, and even modified some of the decorative tile strips by hand, herself.

Every project has problems. Ours was no exception and when issues arose and tempers flared, Cynthia was quick to resolve them. Regardless of fault, Cynthia’s foremost concern was making sure we got the result we wanted. When the dining room chandelier selected turned out to be discontinued two years ago, Cynthia amazingly found one sitting under someone’s desk in St. Louis, Missouri!

There isn’t a single aspect of our home that Cindy hasn’t impacted positively. She’s our go-to-gal. She’s professional, honest, and almost as much of a perfectionist as I am. Recommend ColorShed? Yes, I guess so.

I was extremely happy with the service provided by Color Shed and Cindy Bruning. She help me with three jobs including a cornice board, a kitchen back splash, and window treatments. Cindy is professional, friendly and easy to work with and diligent in working to find what the client wants. The workmanship of all three jobs was excellent. I look forward to working with her again. Colorshed is my go to Company for all of my projects. Their construction and product knowledge surpasses all other companies in the area. As part of my team, I depend on their experience and knowledge while on difficult renovation projects. When needed, they work along side my construction trades to find creative solutions to mitigate on site conditions in order to accomplish my client's goals.

We worked with Colorshed back in 1997 when we first built our home. Our experience working with Cindy and her team then - over 19 years ago - was absolutely excellent. Prices were very fair and the products and designs resulting from her work were both durable across 2 decades and lovely. When we decided to finish our basement this winter, although we have worked with other local designers in the intervening years, our first thought was of Colorshed for the quality of the services and the knowledge they offered us when we were first starting out. We value excellent craftsmanship.

I'm writing to report today, near the end of our new remodel project, that we could not be more pleased with our choice! Several times already, Cindy (who is still there) and her crew have helped us identify products, colors and design elements we didn't know about that have saved us money, met our goals, and actually have improved the quality of what we have built this winter. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon Colorshed with our original builder so many years ago. We could not have had a better experience then or now. I would strongly recommend the Colorshed team in a heartbeat to all my closest friends and family members. They have added real and lasting value to our home. Extremely knowledgeable, great service, and enormous value!!
