This is a very nice KOA. The new hosts were great. They provided us with great beach and shopping information. The campground was clean and able to accommodate our large 5th wheel. We will definitely be staying at this campground again. Don't let past reviews detour you from staying at this KOA. HAPPY CAMPING!

Great location to all the sight of the mackinac island and bridge. The camp store and pool were very clean. The sites in the back were secluded. Staff was very nice. Only downside was the campground needs more full hook up sites and lots of pooling water in heavy rain. They do have really nice cabins that are tucked into the woods. Great location to all the sites of the UP

We stayed here 2 days after spending 10 days at a fairground with limited amenities.

We called ahead and were able to get a nice pull-through site.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.
New owners as of October 2016, they're trying to overcome the poor reviews of the
past.

Campsites and restrooms were clean.

The laundry room that adjoins the store through one door and game room through another was just what we needed to catch up on our clothes washing. It had an ironing board and large folding table and was very clean.

The store had a wide variety of goods including many camping items.

This is a kid's paradise for summer camping.

Excellent Family Campground with wonderful hosts. The owners and their staff were attentive and personable. The amenities were clean and newly updated. We will definitely return. Thank you for a terrific stay!

Loved our stay. They could do some upgrades on the fire pits, picnic tables and the putt putt course. But other than that, it was a great park. I wished I would have gotten the young girls name that checked us in. She was very kind, friendly and always had a smile whenever I came into contact with her. Would definitely stay here again!

Stopped here on a Saturday night in June on the way to other places. Place was busy but very clean and quiet. The owners do a great job keeping the place updated and I can't believe how the clean the place was. The store is awesome and they don't over price stuff. Would stay here again in a heartbeat is staying in the area. Literially brought back faith in the KOA brand for me. The employees were all awesome!!!!

Absolutely the worst customer service! I called to cancel my reservation and was first told that I to give a seven day notice. I apologized and said I only saw the 48 hour notice and then we got cut off due to where I was making the call from. I called back a minute later and the husband answered and told me his wife already canceled my reservation and I said thank you and he said I would be receiving a cancellation email. When I got my email I saw that I was charged $42 for canceling my site even though my confirmation said cancellation fee would be $10. There was a disclaimer about the possibility of additional fees if it was a holiday weekend however in the one minute and 37 seconds I was on the phone with the owners neither one of them bothered to talk to me about this policy they just went ahead and canceled and took my $42. Terrible terrible terrible customer service ! I will never recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy.

The cabins themselves were not bad. However we arrived at our cabin and realized there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathrooms that were close by. By time we were settled in to our cabins we realized the smell was not going away and it was even stronger every time someone flushed. Thank goodness we were only staying the one night! At checkout myself and another couple we were staying with told the front desk lady about the sewage smell and se informed us that they have been aware of the smell for not just one week but THREE! Their pump was broke and instead of letting anyone that is renting the cabin know of the situation and that we would feel like they were camping in a sewage tank they never mentioned it. Nor did the lady at the front desy seem apologetic to the situation she seemed more offended that we were upset about the situation. Will never camp here again!

My family and i visited this campground during a memorial day weekend and overall enjoyed our camping experience. Close to silver beach which made for a great day trip! Perks: kids really enjoyed all of the amenities. Staff was friendly! We really enjoyed staying an extra day after the holidaywhen everyone left we felt like we had the campground to ourselveslots more room to spread out! Negatives: small camp sites, especially when the place is packed. We really felt on top of eachother. And the mosquitos were pretty bad.
