I never post reviews but perhaps if enough negative posts add up they'll lose business and be forced to change. I felt completely uncomfortable shopping there. I was wearing very casual clothing being as I'm 6 months pregnant and was looking for nicer clothes that fit (the reason I was shopping!) and felt some strong Pretty Woman vibes. They watched me walk around the store as if I'd steal something! This owner needs to realize that customer service is EVERYTHING. If you cannot deign to be friendly and non judgemental to us peasants shopping in your establishment perhaps you shouldn't own your own business.
I shopped at Neiman Marcus in YOGA pants, tennis shoes and a hoodie and was never treated like this. The women were kind and helpful. Get a grip.

Shoot! After reading most of these reviews, I don't think I'll bring my things in. Looking for a great store to buy my nice things. Any ideas???

The women who work here are rude, snobby and arrogant. Honey, you're wearing used clothes. Get out of the better-than-you-pew. IF (and that's a big if) they buy your clothes, they pay pennies on the dollar. They always say the clothes are too outdated or the wrong brand. I saw Levi jeans, so don't get too high and mighty about the labels. You have to show your ID before they even look at your clothes. The conceited woman who took my information kept calling me Michelle. That's not my name. So if you're looking to be screwed out of money, insulted, and be talked down to, this this is the place for you!

I wanted to bring in some clothes and shoes to sale, but after reading the reviews I don't think clothes mentors is worth my time. I have designer clothing and for them to tell me to take my clothes to Goodwill as one seller said is a slap in the face. It seems that they are basing their buying on their own personal taste and not that of the incoming customers. I think I will just take my designer clothes somewhere where it would be appreciated and not discriminated against. What happened to Good Customer Service from owners and their staff? Staff are you trying to fit in with the owner? What's wrong? Be kind to people. Don't keep them waiting, their time is just as valuable as yours.

I have very nice, size 4-6, brand name, gently and some not used at all clothing, shoes and handbags. I have taken them in to sell a few times. Each time I have left, I am SO disappointed not only in the few dollars they purchase your items for, but with their less than friendly attitudes. I have also looked at their repricing of my items. An example would be a new Cole Haan handbag, used twice, they gave me roughly $20 and had it marked at $85. The original cost on this bag was over $300. In saying this, I am happy for their buyers but I would rather GIVE my things to family, friends and those in need than to deal with their more than unfriendly attitudes.

One of my favorite stores in KC! They have clean, quality clothes and very reasonable prices.

Selling to them is the pits. I sold only items that were brand new. I was so shocked how little they paid. On the other hand, when I buy from them, the quality and prices are good.

I love shopping at this Clothes Mentor because I can find everything I want in one place and I'm not limited to a certain brand and its definition of a size. I love the staff because they always come around and take my clothes and get a fitting room started for me and they let me do my shopping in peace. They only take items that legitimately are gently used and sometimes even still have the tags on them. The staff steams everything and the store is very organized. I would highly recommend shopping here because you can get everything you want in one place and pay SO much less.

The ladies at the store were not very personable. I never got a proper greeting. Just a straight to the point, "have you ever sold with us?" I had a ton of never worn items that they were not interested in. They offered me $4 for a $70 dress. No thanks!

I had a lot of fun teasing my wife with some of the older clothing on the racks. I'm fairly certain that some of their clothing came from deceased cat ladies and or elementary school teachers. She found some nice items, but I certainly had more fun with the more "vintage" material on display :)
